The stock reminded me of the PSG-1, but the rest of the gun looks like it is some other sniper or a carbine. I think it looks kinda good.
Has anyone modeled a PSG-1?

I used aspects from the covie carbine the sniper and the assault rifle and the pistol and a couple other guns. I didn't really have the PSG-1 in mind when I was making it. This sucks, crit anyways [MP5K WIP] I'm aware of all of those unescessary edges, but if i delete them, faces get jacked up. Same when i try to target weld vertices.

What is even going on in this model. I don't even know what that is at the tip of the barrel, but it looks like it's a lot more polies than it should be. Also, your gun has 2 magazines. Why. Also, you should find a way to design your weapon so that the sides of it aren't completely flat. Right now you only have a few extrusions to break up the flatness, and it just looks boring overall on the sides. I would suggest looking at real life rifles to get an idea of the variation they have on the sides.

 Hay look! SMG I posted earlier is in game. I can get a wireframe up for anyone who wants - model isn't exactly optimised, there are bits that I could clean up. Just wanted to see if it would work. After doing some tweaks to it, next step is texturing and UVW... fun. Apologies for the dark screenshot. Used CMT's anims for this screenshot but would like to make my own. EDIT Just struck me, Halo CE's frame (bone) limit of 35 is rather going to throw a spanner in the works for having an animation for the ammo drain. And yeah the tip has a few extra polys. Also since those pics I have put a bolt and some other stuff on teh sides.

I'm not much on giving crit, but I feel bad that your mp5k was totally skipped over. I think that the handle is off. Or at least too flat. Maybe make it at more of an angle, or more like a cylinder?

But that was actually my first animation. I never animated before. Nor have I used any tutorials.
Any Ideas for the reload? The wielder has to use the bolt when taking the mag out and back in. I want to get this ingame.

How about maybe the right hand moves the bolt up from underneath with the edge of the fingers, while still using the thumb and lower fingers to hold on to the grip, and then the left hand comes in and reloads? Then afterwards, with the left hand back on the weapon, the right hand is free to do a fairly simple push forward and down on the bolt? Looks cool though. Interested to see the final.

I finally got around to finishing that M16A1 that I posted a few pages back: It could be a lot better, but at least it's not ripped. Something still feels off about the grip on this one but I'm not sure what. And here's an Automag suppressor I posted a while ago, but it got buried before I got any comments.(The pistol is just the Halo CE M6 modified to fit the suppressor) Again, not ripped(I am aware that it needs new UVWs if not a new texture)

Rerout, not sure if this is just my monitor, but the renders seem very dark and it's hard to see any detail. Could you make them a bit brighter? Will be easier to see what's going on that way! :)

Render the M16 with default material, which is grey... the texture/colour on it looks like crap and stops people seeing the model. And post wireframes.

How do you render the geometry along with the wireframe? I used to know how to do that but it's been probably 4+ years since I've needed a wireframe render.

ASP; DoomPig's work is clearly superior. I mean, his Assault Rifle had a silencer, integrated scope and a strap.
