awesome thanks :) and dont worry about optimizing, this is primarily for a render so it can be however many polies you need/want.. i might put it in game later...

dual plasma pistol tags based on halo 2 e3 2003 functionality (single weapon, single trigger, two projectiles per shot). fp.model_animations is broken, don't know why. I guess this was only a first person fix? You did not include the dual weapon model, only the fp model . . . . - nice first person, wouldn't call it a dual weapon though - maybe double vision? : )

Yes, I would like to get the dual model (3rd person) if you have it, and no, it was not included in your release.

... Are you joking? The barrel isn't ridged on the inside, it's rifled. It has those ridges on the outside of the barrel to increase surface area and thus cool the rifle faster.

I have 7 people in my close family in the military and when I was young was a sort of weapons enthusiast for a bit. I do much understand the reason for the ridges, but that is just a pic he said he got off the web anyway, and those ridges are STILL way too deep and make it so the barrel would be very small caliber.


Famas's can be set up to fire 556 or 223, which are very small. the size of the barrel is appropriate

I still think the size of the ridges isn't though. I have never seen a famas that ridged on the barrel. I'm not saying I have a problem with ridges, but those ridges are ungodly deep. But it's not even his anyway so IDK why we are bothering to discuss it.

looks good so far.. the pole thing should be longer and thinner, and the head piece should also be taller and not so wide i think..

Yeah, i agree the reason its like that is because the pic you haz thur is longer than it is tall (:O) and so it came out somewhat disproportionate, i'll fix it up later :)

I recently made this Glock 18, unfortunately I don't know how to make it fire burst mode in-game.

Any ideas/suggestions?

hmmm, that is an interesting idea. once it overheats will that automatically release the trigger lock so that it has to be pulled again to fire another burst?

There is a checkbox in the weapon tag for 'does not fire automatically'. Also, there is a field for firing effects per buts. Set it to the burst.

I actually did do some research before modelling that glock 18. The glock 18 fires full auto at somewhere between 1,100 and 1,200 rounds per minute.

ideas: add a PEQ box
suggestions: ditto, Make a different fore grip thing, add a vert grip
cunstructive critizism: don't make the scope "lean" backwards and the forward strap handle thing is a bit small.
compliments: you didn't make it un-detailed on the sides
insults: it's to boxy and you should put more details and a turbo smooth or 3 ^^

Over all not to bad. The clip looks weird though and the back is messed up.

Thnx for the advice,

ideas: What is a PEQ box?

suggestions: I have actually fired this weapon in real life, and I don't like the vertical forgrip and besides I moddeled this m4 in such a way that I can remove each part seperately and rearrange it and add other accessories later (like for instance that ACOG Scope can be romoved and put onto any of my custom halo weapons)

cunstructive critizism: I might adjust the scope a little, but I modelled it up against a picture so it is pretty much the way it is supposed to be (it might just be the angle of the render that makes it look funny)

Insults: I wanted to keep it pretty low poly, plus the m4a1 is kinda boxy in some places, plus the handle is the worst part and it will be covered by the players hand :)

A PEQ box is basically a laser sight on the side.

Meh I prefer the vert grip it's easier to hold.

oh, I didn't realize that was called a PEQ box. I might make one of those, like a mentioned before I plan to have a bunch of accessories that fit all of my weapons so that I can have multiple loadouts. (I will also probably make a forgrip later for other loadouts, but I didn't want that to be on the basic loadout)

I chose this particular setup (ACOG Scope, no vert grip, etc..) because this is the setup that the US military orders when it orders new shipments of M4a1s.

The ducktape on the stock is holding the latch for adjusting the stock down, because this is going into a WWIII mod and the weapon is supposed to look old, dirty, and like it has make shift repairs done to it.



Does the duck tape look better from this angle?
