Adding said things does no give it depth. Before modelling them parts make the rest of the weapon look good. Take a look at the Halo BR's as an example for depth.

I would recommend scrapping the forward grip area, and replacing it with something more round or something that has finger indents. Likewise with the pistol grip area.

Yeah, I was a Tribesman immediately before I started modding halo, I'll admit. Came up on google images, and I remembered what a cool gun it was.

Better, but still, give it more depth and variation in depth. And WAY too many sides on the cylinders on the barrel. Wireframe please.

Here's a constructive protip: Delete the parts that were draw from an outline (like the grip, stock) and remake them using several pieces (like you did for the barrel, scope).

ok, ya, i'll remake both of the grips, and add a new stock as well as make a new ACOG scope, cuz i don't really like the one i'm using. kk, ill come back when im done, and i'll bring a wireframe

The gun actually would look cooler without the scope at all....
But I guess it is supposed to be a br remake.
If it was its own gun, then yeah, I would say you leave the scope out.

That little casing flying out in the second picture...
looks like a .22 short flying out of a .50AE desert eagle. Made me chuckle a bit.

dual plasma pistol tags based on halo 2 e3 2003 functionality (single weapon, single trigger, two projectiles per shot). fp.model_animations is broken, don't know why. I've included the full animation set and fp model in max 9 format in case you want to try to fix it. debugging this trash is not worth my time

It takes you 48 hours to render about 1048 frames? From that render it seems to be default scanline rendering with an AA filter on, which takes 1 second or less to render.

I said 48 hours because I am lazy and didn't want to render it all and put it together and export it and all that crap. I was just using scanline.

Also the whole thing all-in-all probably took maybe 2 hours. That is of work time anyway. It would have been faster if I had my tool bar and if it didn't crash every other time I try to make the render save to a file.

slappy told me how to fix up the dual pps. yes, I know the overcharge light is screwed, never been an effects guy and this is just a dual wield proof of concept

there you go. simple e3 2003-style dual wielding. if you do dual weapons like this, the animation systems will be as seamless as any other weapon since it's using the same triggers as the original, and with some refinement this would be completely glitchless and sync online properly since it doesn't rely on questionable scripting

I like the animations for the PP. They are very fluid and fit together somewhat nicely. I would space the two weapons closer to the face and farther away from each other, however. Also lessen the movement in the overheat-RTO and scrap the moving animation (how would the default moving animation look?)

I'll make some minor tweaks to the animations and tagging and then release, but don't expect any significant changes, this was originally going to be nothing more than a proof of concept for reliable dual wielding

also the overcharge light is an engine glitch. not going to worry about fixing it. I'm not about to bust my ass over something the engine should be able to handle or use some hacky sphere/material work-around that would take up more time than it's worth

Why not use UT3 which is good, that looks like crap, more or less the same quality as CE tbh.
