Yes I have xfire and help\advice might be helpful. Xfire is skidrow925 Updated pictures: (And BTW I DO plan to get this animated/in-game if at all possible) Will fix up some of that smoothing later. As well as adding details.

needs to be some differnt geometry. in its current state, you could add all the details in the world and it would still look like a box. get what im saying? Quote: --- Original message by: Gearedhi all im back from ym dungeon of models...made this randomly, dunno if it suks or not ill leave that up to yall...about 1.5 tris. silencer and attachment are separate so u can remove em, slide hammer are separate...as well as clip and trigger...and a few floaters. DUDE. MAKE A MODELING TUTORIAL. PLEASE. just my two cents, as i could really use it :/ Edited by abkarch on Dec 8, 2010 at 09:35 PM

Will fix up some of that smoothing later. As well as adding details. Grip/handle feels oddly detached from the rest of the weapon. Glad at least SOMEONE noticed. I had made that handle before and just shipped it in there. I don't make pistol grips(or any type of grip for that matter) very well. Probably just the angle. But it might be. I would like to see you model a Glock. lol.

Geared your details just seem like they're floating randomly on the gun. Try actually adding the details of the slide grip into the back of the slide and pay close attention to the details of the gun. The topology of the mesh is very important before random detail though so get that down first.

are you going to put a little more detail on the sides? It looks good everywhere else, just looks like it's missing something on the sides. Maybe a safety switch or anything to break it up a little.

All the detail of the rifle is on the right side. The animation is just for practice though, so I won't worry too much about it.

make sure that the 'show standard map in the viewport' button is checked for all your materials. if you kept the material as a multi/sub material, you need to click into each material then press that button.

Right click. Anywhere in the scene, it does not matter where. See the list? click on "unfreeze all".
Your mesh will now be unfrozen.
