It was more inspired by the Ballistic Knife from BO (lol...), mostly just the regular knife being held with the wrench.

But the wrench part was inspired by L4D. If I could find a guitar model, I'd do that one too. Besides, I need some practice with animating some melee weapons.

The rig is from FPSBanana, and reskinning something is not exactly something I can do, so the upper arm remains the same. It's never really much of a problem anyway, unless I have a long gun, in which case I just scale some of the parts of it to make it look right.

alternate knife hold, modified the position of the wrench, and unsuccessfully tried to make the pinky look better; it sure seems like that won't happen.

Uhh, the grip is a square, (actually so is the rest of the gun for the most part). There's nonplanar faces on the front. There's 2 barrels, which doesn't make any sense, and judging by their placement, the barrels aren't even straight. In fact, the gun doesn't even look straight. The barrels would have to be bent inside the body of the gun to get in that position. The gun overall looks like you started with 2 rectangles and did a bunch of extrusions, insets and bevels.

Go back to have the knife's tip pointing into the bottom left, and rotate the wrist of the wrench up because right now it's kind of rotating down to get to the wrench [unless that's due to the wrench being rotated forward?..].
Don't be afraid to clip with the fingers either, I had tried doing that for a year since I first started but later gave up. My origins look better now that I don't care for small details like that; no one notices anyway.

lol, as i said i only spent fifteen minutes on it. I modeled this one to just figure out what i'm going to change and where. The ref i drew doesn't have too much detail, so i figured i'd model it, get some detail onto the model, then put it onto the drawing and remake the model using the new moar detailed drawing :). There actually aren't two barrels, the one on the bottom is going to be a laser.

I would just start over, the proportions are all wrong. The handle is about the same height as the tip of the gun, which makes the gun look off balance and almost cartoonish. And the barrel and body still looks bent. It's almost like they start at a small upwards incline and then level out (if looking at it from the side.) It could just be the angle, though.

I suppose i probably should have said "It will be completely redone" rather than "It will be mostly redone" lol, i've already redone it once, don't like parts of the new one, so i'm gonna redo it again :P (at least the new one isn't all on piece :P)...

For accuracy, it is absolutely horrible. But it's actually got its own cartoony feel. Reminds me of TF2's Lugermorph a bit.

Progress on my refitting of a Halo 1 PR to a Reach PR. Took out the yellow bar near the "teeth", remade the teeth, made the back of the blue part on the top half a tad higher, and the fins on the top half a tad smaller.
Also made that odd notch thing between the two upper fins, but for some reason the bumps don't seem so pronounced, instead it looks kinda flat. Is this just because I haven't changed the shaders or something?

Sheesh. Am I the only one who makes original stuff? Aside from Geared? I don't think I can make as high-poly stuff, though. But as for this one, I'm not going to make it high-poly. I want everything that's there to be there for a reason. It's based on the XM8's ergonomics, the M4A1's overall design, some unorthodox and supposedly more convenient ways of manipulating the weapon, and the fact that I'm left-handed and would have difficulty in using traditional weapons.

No, your not. Sorry. i have said this on other occasions, i make plenty of original stuff, i'v only been showing remakes though. (Thats magnum doesn't count as a remake just fyi. It is not the H:R magnum, i'm modeling it off of a sketch of mine so, umm... blargh!) I'm sorry to crush your dreams of being one of the only people to make original content. That was a very large assumption on your part.

Kinda looks like an M4 with the M8 body over the handle doo-hicky.

Also I make Original stuff.

Yes, sandtrap is protected, but i believe that the variant Sandtrap_Race (i think its this one) is unprotected, if it isn't lemme know, and i'll sift through my (242) maps and find out which one has the unprotected tags :)

The magnum animations could still use some tweaking, but the shotgun animations are pretty much fine. I don't like the up-in-your-face origins of the weapons, but that's mostly me (and being a hypocrite at it *cough* ex41 *cough*)

I guess you could tweak it with the FOV setting, because I animate in widescreen.

Those shotgun animations are killer.
I would love to be able to use these, instead of cmt ones, which are the only good animations out there at the moment.

I'm going to rig the Halo 1 shotgun model to these animations, and release that model with the Halo 3 model and the animations for those who want to use the classic model. For the magnum, I'm afraid I can't set that up for the Halo 1 pistol due to the large disparity.

Unfortunately, my entire tagset, along with the EX41 (pimp-action) compiled files are gone with most of my desktop's hard drive, so I probably won't get that ingame without doing EVERYTHING I already did.
