Did wome work on the sniper I had before got FP arms from teh_lag.

Actually, if it was shorter, maybe it would fit better, but the wire on bottom going that far away from the bulk of the gun never happens on a combat weapon

The barrel doesn't really fit imo. Looks like it doesn't belong on that gun at all.

Really the first thing that I think when I see this is "you're being limited by your knowledge of your tools". There's very little control being demonstrated there - the left hand repeatedly and needlessly clips in and out of the gun and the movements in generally look like they're completely at the mercy of the bone hierarchy rather than being what you want them to be. I have recollections of people starting arguments about this in the past but I'm going to say that the first step you can take is moving out of standard FK animation.

Get yourself an IK rig, get yourself Jennifer's animation tutorials, and go from there. It's important to develop a sense of timing and the ability to control your tools; I learned to animate starting with "normal" FK stuff like that and it took be a good year before I broke out of it. I can't speak for everyone but I'd say not to make that mistake. Some people are decent with FK but you don't really seem to be at the level where that's a choice you could make and be reasonably informed about it. Maybe it would be possible to get really skilled and quickly learn to put out high-quality work using nothing but FK, but I doubt that's the case for most people.

Skidrow, I thought your melee was a posing animation. I saw the video twice and I'm like "when is he gonna show the melee?" Then I realized it WAS the melee I saw. Lol.

melee for a long weapon like that should be a butt end to head melee TBH. Otherwise it just looks like you are poking the guy.

Thanks for the tut.
Do you have ones with video? Because these ones don't..

The Melee is messed up because it was in 100 frames so I made a shorter one and condensed it to about 35 frames.

Also teh_lag I used the arms from your BR thingie. And I have been working on clipping issues. When it fires the reason it hops out of the left hand is that it fires a huge round. Actually I might make the firing with less recoil.

With the Melee what he does is spin the gun a little with his left hand then slam the but into someone. I considered hitting from the side but haven't tried it yet.

Also does anyone have a tut on weapon skinning? I can't get it to skin right and I am not sure how anyway.

I didn't like Jennifer's tuts, lots of spots without him speaking, and his voice starts to get annoying to some point. But I did learn a few things from him.

35 frames for a melee is still pretty long, unless you have a complicated return to origin. What I usually use is maybe 3 or 4 frames to get the gun to the melee position, leave it there for a bit (add in recoil here), and then do the return to origin.

35 is fine for a balanced looking melee animation. Proper force, reaction, and return.

Intersting...

Also the grenade will be somewhat slow. (NADE SPAM AIN'T FAIR!) Can't remeber how long it is. Still have some more work to do and hen done will upload render.

I fixed most of the clipping errors I found still got a couple more. Had to redo the posing animes because they were over written by grenade and the other by fire.

Make sure you have the Xvid video codec, I believe those videos are encoded with it.

fix your poly distribution, you have all these extrudes on the stock of the shotgun, but hardly any at the front.
Doesn't look very "high-res" to be honest.
its also pretty box flat.

The top of both your Assault rifle and shotgun are very flat looking. You should round them out a bit.
