I love those blue glowy things and the thing mounted on the side of the barrel. I'm not sure what it is, I'm assuming it's a flashlight.

typically you need a trigger to fire weapons, fyi

If it's not going in-game, it doesn't need to fire so it doesn't need a trigger. If it's going in-game it doesn't need a trigger because the trigger is your mouse.

logic. use it. actual guns require triggers to release the hammer so it can hit the primer on the casing. if you are modeling a weapon to reference, or a realistic weapon, you wouldnt leave something like that out. this really isnt very difficult to understand.

eh i like the old texture alot more... but its your choice

also, model in the mesh for the bottem and be creative with the unwrap to reuse that texture, if you rip weapons, dont be lazy. i port stuff aswell, but im not lazy when i do so. =3

wtf did you do to the model and uvw's I sent gamma D: Horrid. Until i c more pics or I get it then ill edit it so it looks proper.

furthermore, the whole gun is floating in the hands, fix that aswell.

I don't see why you can't understand. If you have the trigger, you might as well have the entire firing mechanism- that's what the trigger activates. The trigger is useless in-game, as you never see it unless you are trying to, and you don't need it because it doesn't fire the gun.

some gusn ahve a double drum magazine the new xm8 has it and in game teh g36(stubby version of thegun) has a drum or double drum. maybe if u fix it up a bit itll look nice, btu i understand u were bored lol

i told myself i wouldnt respond, but oversight of this degree cannot be ignored. you can see the trigger on the gun. its an exterior part. the firing mechanism is an interior part. animations (good animations, not halo animations) will usually show you the trigger at some point or another. another think you might consider: IF IT DOESNT GO IN GAME AND IS USED FOR RENDERING PURPOSES, PERHAPS IT SHOULD HAVE EVERY EXTERIOR PART VISIBLE. now what if i modeled you and didnt include your nose?

you know how i know im right? if hunter had included a trigger, we wouldnt be having this conversation.

But it is going in-game, because he made a thread about having an error about it going in-game, so the trigger so not needed. It's just a useless part in the game. If the animation show where the trigger are, it should be there. I forget who, but someone pointed out how the right side of the Assualt Rifle is flat because you never see it. Same concept, different part.

third person, and animations. your argument is moot. i understand what youre saying, the game doesnt require trigger geometry, but then again the game doesnt require geometry at all now does it? why dont we just totally remove the models for the weapons.
better yet, why dont we do this DBZ style and have us shoot energy balls out of our hands, but remove the geometry for the fingernails since it "isnt needed"
