what exactly did he do to make that work then? melee? Edited by Donut on Aug 22, 2009 at 07:48 PM Regular firing animation. I think he used the secondary fire animation. Don't know what the name is though. And I'm not going to replace the primary fire animation :V

IMO replacing the firing animation is as good as it can get. Every other anim can be replaced aswell... Quote: --- Original message by: ODX Don't those DMT Modern Warfare-type maps have an aim down sight feature? I had a topic lots of months ago about that, and I did the same they did, a long animation so that firing actually works whith the sights. change FOV during and you're set. I had it done some time ago that works fine, i dont have my map anymore since i have reinstalled windows =/ but im pretty sure other people have that map from me

The concept of having it be a double barrel shotgun vertically, seems interesting. I probably wouldn't have it bend down like that for a reload though, I'd make it go off to the side, still using the same axis you have it on now though. Kind of like most revolvers. I suppose the first way is fine, but I still like the concept on the second one better. Although, right now I must admit it does look a bit weird, but that's probably due to the weapon not exactly looking finished, and that little white box-of-sorts coming out the side.

Team Fortress developers did a hard job to make the realistic source engine something cartoony, I'm glad you see the cartoony side of it, it's hard to realise such a style actually. Imo, could use more detaills, but that's speaking from a normal mind, cartoon styled should be simple and primitive aslong as you get that main idea every child got, thats how cartoons work. So it's fine.

I actually like the simplicity of the shot gun you made. It is to the point and doesn't have un-needed add ons.

I don't think the red wire should be sagging onto the actual...whatever that thing is. Shorten it up a bit so it's in the air, but still bending a bit and not being entirely straight.

I was talking mainly to BP, but I see you want to argue just as badly as him. It doesn't really matter. I like it personally, because it obscures your view more. But seeing as how there are plenty of other snipers, and that is just the H3Beta sniper anyways, there is no point in arguing over it.
