biped or gun ? I already gave the shotty to gamma for animating, but if you want it... But I'm not showing Fp because it's not perfect enough as of now (french = perfectionnist).
The biped WILL NOT BE RELEASED until I didnt make rigged LODs (which is a long and boring thing) but if someone skilled wants it to enhance it it's ok until it doesnt get lost in the nature

Your origins are WAY too far out, ready is a bit snappy and choppy, fire looks good maybe a bit more force, reload looks a tad unsmooth. But overall it`s nice.

But overall it`s nice. I agree about the origins, I was trying to make it more realistic (since in reality you don't hold a handgun so close to your face), but I think I over did it. I will move that in a bit next time I work on it. I have already fixed the ready animation for the most part, I will work on the fire and reloads next, thank you for your advice. Also, I am not entirely happy with the reload-empty animation (mostly the first part of it) so I might rework that one a bit. (it looked better when I imagined it, lol)

Nade throw needs some more "force".Seems to be a casual throw,not much force or effort.Reload needs to be more smooth.Firing anims are okay.
Also,reduce the shine on the AR.Looks like a rifle with oil all over it.

We'll looks good anyway. Your friend might want to think about the scratches on the blade where the edges on the model are. In real life they are not just straight lines but they are made up of various, rough scratch's. That's the only thing I seem to dislike apart from the colour of the cloth (handle).

Looks way too boxy and do a better render for the wireframe. The handle looks pretty good though.
Smoothing looks bad but i cant tell because of the bad render. You also seem to have lots of n-gons. Divide them into quads. It looks like though you have just booleaned a shape into the model. Plane modeling in detail will look better rather than crap or at least use the cut tool.
In my opinion it looks OK apart from that. But in the end keep practicing, and use the plane modellling tutorials etc. Also the way you approach it and start to model things makes a big difference (especially for me) so plan ahead.
Hunter though, may have something different to say about the model and its wireframe but this is my understanding of modelling. Edited by Cheddars on Sep 3, 2012 at 02:40 AM

Your doing the wireframe wrong, follow the first 2 posts exactly, and you will have a nice render. As stated already, you have n-gons everywhere, I too used to do this:  You see all of the faces with more than 4 edges? They are bad, you either want 4 sides polygons, or triangulate all faces. In terms off accuracy you are missing MANY details, i'd suggest you wait for some better references come out or better concept art. And where is that "power cell" supposed to fit? I don't see where it's shape will slot in. Alright attempt though.

I'm only 14, and I haven't look at many tutorials. I'm sorry that the model blows so hard. It's my second gun. I'm better off not attempting it because by the time better references come out some experienced modeler will make one that everyone'll use. But an important thing is the DEPTH of the model, do never hesitate to extrude an edge (press shift+move the edge) and move it down, and model a bit more on another height of the model. edit : look at hunter's model, basically the shape is simple, but if he was doing like you, you wouldnt have those parts bumping or the different parts of the model.
