as the videos are just to show off the animations, firing sound and obnoxious background noise, i will try, but I don't think reloading is a top priority in those videos :P

Try to select all your polygons via Editable Mesh and click on "Clear All" below the numbers, you'll obtain your faces more sharpen.

it looks good for 14 years but I can see where the smoothing groups are going wrong and thats because of the ngons/triangles. Fix those. Pm if you want me to teach you through that video communications thing :p.

I did this using alteration a long time ago, before OS was publicly released. But of course, with OS the brightness colours look a lot better using normal maps and specular.
