So now I added them in OS_Guerilla, but Sapien still crashes upon starting -_-
Hi DeadHamster, thanks for your detailed answer. There are indeed many cov squads and encounters and some of them are probably unused. But I can't really use them for my marines, because the firiring position are kinda random and not that well organized. And I need them tight and sorted so they follow me well. But what I did was, I migrated my Marines to the ones outside in the valley once you get there, so that helped a lot. But later you enter the building again and they stop following you, therefore I need new squads.
Also I use OS_Sapien to edit the map (it would crash anyways on the normal sapien), but I still get that squad limit error. Do you think that the map needs to be made from scratch to enhance OS features? I still compile it as a normal map file though.

Hi guys.
Does anyone know if it is possible to surpass the squad limit of 1024? I am trying to add some Marines to follow me around in b40, but I can't continue half way threw due to the squad limit.

Btw does anyone know how to get or have the tags for these Halo 2 grunts in firefight portent? They look kinda cool.
Thats sad...is it atleast open source now? Edited by paddy369 on Jun 28, 2018 at 04:50 AM
Hi, how is the development going with synced AI going so far? A while back i saw some threads to that topic, but it was always mentioned that it's still being developed and/or it's in beta phase. I am a noob in this, but if we could make this happen, it would be a new milestone for the Halo CE community.

I think I know what happend. You downloaded a older version from HEK+. I did the same, and the older version always corrupts the bitmap file. Therefore you get the error. Just use the new HEK+ from 2006 and extract the bitmap tag again.
Pseudo Ragdolls?
And I don't really have performance problems with Halo.
So, I mean we can atleast try it.
I am making a multiplayer map on Bloodgulch, and I added a bunch of AI.
All i wan't is, that the remaining corpses on the floor won't dissapear.
How can I make, that ragdolls won't dissapear so fast? So that you can see after a big fight all the corpses.

No. No. Classified. Yes, we'd love a capable coder in our team.
Why is it Classified? Its not like you get any profit from the game.
Quote: --- Original message by: Mootjuh I, as a Contingency dev, can tell you it isn't.
Glad to hear this :D
But actually i am very interested in which state this project is right now. Do you think it can be released this year? And did you guys already finished the models for every soldier? I mean, on what are you guys working right now? And is it still possible to learn now C++ to help you guys? xD Anyways, I think you should keep on working on this great little project as an Halo fan^^
Finally i fixed the problem, I never gave my spawned driver the info to execute the command.
Quote: --- Original message by: Kinnet i think this is gonna be succesfull, but some people will hate it for small things, now with the halo offline engine, everything is gonna get worse. anyway i really like contingency. i don't care if it does use the half-life engine or whatever
What do you mean with Halo offline engine?
Do you guys think that this project will be succesfull? There was always a fight between Halo CE people and CryEngine fans. Maybe Halo fans should work more together, whatever engine is in use, then we can create something good. What is your opinion to that? Too sad that devs can't take donations. @Flanker What do you think about the Contingency Project?
I followed the instructions and I still got 0 Tags from it, and I have no idea why.
EDIT1 --------------------
Yep, yo the HEK+ from 2005 works for me perfectly, the other HEK+ from 2006 with the "extract to" command is just not going for me.
Thanks for the help guys.
EDIT2 --------------------- OKAY, so i just figured out that you HAVE to give tool.exe admin rights. So it worked perfectly in CMD if you give tool the admin rights, so basically this error means that it diden't had enough permission to compile it. Very strange!
And I can extract tags so everything is fine again :) Edited by paddy369 on May 22, 2015 at 07:00 PM Edited by paddy369 on May 22, 2015 at 07:15 PM
OMG! Just what the HEK+! I was doing somehing in HEK, then I realized you could also create there a map file, and guess what, it just worked. So that is great.
But I still can't realy extract Tags, I looked everywhere, all tabs and toolbars are checked in HEK+ and there is no queueing list, but I can still add some tags to the queue list.
Thanks for the help guys, but I think, that I will just set up everything new again. But, its been a while since I used HEK+, and I think I am useing the newest versio, and I can't figure out the queueing window, I just cant find it. So I am actually using the "extract to" command, and it might not work properply, so where is the god damm queueing list?
Quote: --- Original message by: R93_Sniper in your CE directory is a file called debug.txt
copy paste the last output in there (aka, compile the scenario, then open the file, scroll down to the bottom chunk of information and copy paste it here)
Oh no, i tought he ment the tool.exe output. But anyways, I know where to look for the debug.txt and I copied ofcourse everything. It is really everything what it printed.
I can try it again and I get the same result: 05.19.15 22:32:17 sapien pc 01.00.00.0609 ---------------------------------------------- 05.19.15 22:32:17 reference function: _write_to_error_file 05.19.15 22:32:17 reference address: 401b13 05.19.15 22:32:17 Couldn't read map file './sapienbeta.map' 05.19.15 22:32:17 CreateDevice succeeded with refresh rate = 0 05.19.15 22:32:18 Sound card doesn't meet minimum hardware requirements.
