Question about the Universal Interface- Coluseum II is included in the UI but the original Coluseum isn't? Why?

Coluseum II is basically a remake of it... for the better. Coluseum was 10 times as short and sucked.

Well, I think a lot of the maps in the UI suck- but if the intention is "Universal" then the first should be included anyway. Just my opinion.

I'm guessing the UI had a bit of quality control, there probably were too many maps so he had to choose the best maybe? Idk.

The quality control wasn't up to par if such a glitchy mess as RPSP got in then, which has massive input lag.

Or, it was simply inconsistent and biased.

Well, that's silly considering the only way to get it is by searching Coluseum II on this site and the original appears regardless.

Why not rename it Coluseum Revision or just Coluseum and take down the old one if that's the case?

Maybe because the original just sucked and the author wanted to improve on it? That's why the idea of remakes even exist.

I get that but-

The Thing 1982 isn't called The Thing From Another World II.

If it was that would be stupid, just like the name Coluseum II is stupid if the author intends to ignore the original's existence then why would it be called Coluseum II- which suggests there is a Coluseum I?

I know what you are trying to argue here...

As somebody who worked with the creator of UUI, I know MoooseGuy cherrypicked what maps he wanted to appear that he thought were good enough.

Don't like it, don't use it. Nobody is going to change it.

Again these are maps, made by people for fun.
You can cherry pick all you want but whats done is done. The author wanted it his way and he did it as he wants to. Thats that.

We get it you think 90% of the maps on the UUI is bad. No need to parrot yourself every time you post.

Alright kiddies.

Let's make an observation here.

The UUI for all intensive purposes is designed to bring together the best of the communities creations (according to moosey) all into one interface.

This happens (usually) once every year in which moosey updates the UUI with edited features and more content.

For the past 2 years? This has been the daily norm.

So as you can probably imagine requesting patches and certain features to be culled or augmented isn't going to be successful given that:

A) Moosey may or may not agree with your opinions.

B) The UUI is updated ONCE a year and not incrementally.

Now let's take a moment to absorb this and move on with our lives.

Off topic a lil bit, but I've always considered a remake of this campaign.
For what it's worth, it's enjoyable enough.
Could be made so much better though.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained though.
I'd support a remake, the idea is solid- execution is a little lacking.
