This is why I started exporting large portions of all of the levels I design as scenery when they get too intricate :)
Like the arches, column design on the inner walls, various scrollworks, almost the entirety of the sword chamber, etc. in highpoly hyrule :) Cheap and fast and near-instant lightmaps (and since scenery can use very simple collision, runs smoothly on computers with APUs+no dedicatedGPUs ) Edited by OrangeJuice on Jan 3, 2016 at 03:03 PM |

It's final lightmaps that usually take the longest amount of time. This is why us lazy developers release maps, such as Firefight Descent, with debug lightmaps as we don't want to wait days to run final lightmaps on them. |
