Configure viewports > Statistics > Check tris count > Uncheck everything else > Hit apply > Select a viewport and hit "7" What depends on what? I think he's just saying he's not factoring in the polies of the portals and player clipping geometry.

Maybe you could chamfer the cliff edges a bit to redude the sharpness, but apart from that everything looks spectacular. Keep it up!

I'm looking forward to the AOTCR/2B level. One should be outside with some snow and ice, the other should be built into the cliffs and feature bridges (think Boarding Action but not awful).
Also, The Flood map. Quagmire is one of my favorite CE maps because of how well it captures the atmosphere of that level. Why aren't more maps set in the swamp environment?

why include a swamp map in the games when they can sell it to you as paid DLC.

Some rude fellow took the name Gridiron before Pope released his map, and then his map was leaked (I think?).

I think it'd be cool to have AOTCR feature bridge combat, obviously high up in the air. I think Two Betrayals should feature some kind of vertical combat. The single player map had that at certain parts, mainly with the banshee. We don't see that in a lot of multiplayer maps.

vertical combat seems to be really hard to pull off for some reason. If you had a lot of niches in the sides of a canyon and had that going up it may work but you'd need something else to make it not feel like a cluster of caves.

Thanks for the support guys! The next map, T&R will have one base in the desert canyon and another base inside of the covenant ship.

It's great to see maps of various sizes. Not sure what your plans are for the other ones, but it would be great to see a couple of small, asymmetrical 2v2-sized maps for scrims :P

I'm also making these 'classic' based maps. Proper material and lighting > cramming triangles into a map. I'm not going to waste my time and put 100,000 triangles into 10 maps. Let alone, I don't have that kind of time. More detail = more work. I plan on getting this map pack done before June 1st, 2016. If I want to build highly detailed levels, then I'll do it for a next gen engine or a single player mission. Why would I waste my time doing that for the Halo CE engine?
Map Pack Main Objectives: To be mainly focused on creating a classic gameplay experience with a limitation of 10,000 triangles.
Maybe I'm being OCD about the number 10, but whatever.

The Dutch can be stubborn at times. Did you also know they actually eat peanut butter on fries? They call it: patat oorlog, which means "WAR POTATOE".
