Hello Community, I know it's been a very long time since you've heard any updates regarding Sector 09, so I have decided to bring you one today. Firstly, and most importantly, something has happened with Polyonymous up to this point, and that is Polyonymous is no longer a team. Factors, that are not relevant, led to things not working out. After I left Polyonymous, and in the process pulling Sector 09 from the team, on October 17th, the group has decided to disband the 'Polyonymous' name and return to the original VKMT title. They will be posting updates on their projects in the community, so stay tuned into what they're working on. On that note, VKMT and I are still on good terms, we are both collaborating, and I will continue to use their tag set with utmost appreciation and gratitude for Sector 09. Now, about Sector 09, my ideas kept running rampant in my mind, itching to get into the actual piece, alongside my busy work schedule and my full-time student status, gaining progress on this project has been hard. I decided that I was going to stop working on it for a bit, and decided to sit down and get my ideas all on paper, in organized documents, so that my mind can be free, and everything that I ever wanted could be set in stone, as a reference, to how to design this firefight. I'm proud to say that this was an extremely successful advance in this project, as I have several documents (spanning over 30 pages in length, full of detailed explanations and pictures to help display the vision I have for this firefight), that are now helping me keep a guide on this project. I now have something I can refer to, something I can be proud of, so that if motivation were to ever slip, I can remind myself in how awesome this project is going to be, and not to give up hope, and complete this project once and for all. I am going to release these documents at the firefight's release, so you won't be seeing them anytime soon. The next thing I want to address is that I have created a test map, in which allows me to test things and figure out / troubleshoot what I need to in order to make this firefight that is documented on paper as successful as possible, and I am also proud to say that I have mostly figured out how to use the features in the HEK to allow this firefight to be successful as possible. Now the end goal is putting this all together, and figuring out how this is going to come together in the end product. Alright, I know, I've been talking too much. WHERE'S THE PICTURES OF THE UPDATES?!?! Well, I HAVE MORE THAN PICTURES, SO IN YOUR FACE! How about some videos too? I present to you, a concept of the loadout menu I have been working on. (Important note: this loadout was an experiment to figure out the UI system, as I plan to use widgets than WAYYY more than just loadouts in the final firefight ;) ) (note: the buttons and text aren't final either, but I gotta say, pretty cool as a placeholder if you ask me) The Loadout menu in Sector 09: Here's two video demonstrations (One in the test map, and one in Sector 09) Demonstration 1 (Testmap) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTO8NRRUpl0&ab_channel=xpfe5zrm Demonstration 2 (Sector 09) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5pxqPoU-Uo&feature=youtu.be&ab_channel=xpfe5zrm I just started a 9-week class in college, so my time to work on this is pretty much shot. I am going to try to dedicate myself at least 2 hours a week of work. It won't be much, but at least it'll have somewhat of a consistency. I'll try to keep you guys as updated as possible. If you have any ideas / questions about what I have in store, feel free to ask. I'll answer as much as I want you guys to know about ;) Until the next update, See you guys later! -Nickster5000

Yet it sucks to be working on same project, program, for 4 years now. I'm still learning everyday when I see something new, heh. Quote: --- Original message by: Nickster5000 ... I'm sure it got lot of revisions on the go. Hopefully you'll get this done soon or later, still looking better every time made an update!

***BIG UPDATE***I have a stable but working build in-game at the moment, which is actually pretty fun. Problem being... that since construction has begun, I have to make sure that no nasty bugs slip in during the process. I need Sector 09 to be to the best potential as it can be, and the bugs are going to stop that from happening. In response to this problem, I have officially decided to launch the Sector 09 Testing Team, and ANYONEis allowed to apply to join. Yes, you need to APPLY, and there is a certain reason why (this statement should be big enough of a hint... fyi) If you are interested in joining the testing team, please follow the quoted text below to get started. There is a process to this application, and you need to understand that not everyone is going to pass. I hope this information is enough to warrant you passing. Quote: Requirements:-You must have played any Halo games released before 2011 for more than 1 year (I don't think this is going to be a problem) -Somewhere I can contact you (Must be skype, steam, kik, or on halomaps here.) -You need to have Halo Custom Edition installed, working, and compatible with the newest version of OpenSauce. Sector 09 is built using OpenSauce, and it is therefore crucial. -A working email -Have a solid understanding of writing in the English Language, and can provide a detailed analysis of a situation (in our case: beta testing and bugs) -A dropbox account (if you pass) Recommendation:-More than one year of modding experience -a Dropbox account If you know that you fulfill any of these requirements, and you want to Beta Test, then get started with the application found by clicking this link. Good luck folks, and happy Beta Testing. Edited by Nickster5000 on Oct 25, 2015 at 12:11 AMEdit: Only 4 responses so far. Thought more of you guys would want to test. Quote: --- Original message by: GrunterIs that a Halo 5 Rip? Looks like plastic, so maybe. I really hate the way OS shaders specular looks. It makes everything look like it's plasti-dipped or just wet. Even TSC:E had this as a major problem. Looks like a million goblins armed with clear-coat nail polish went over every surface that had a specular map.

Oh so that's why his name is ALTheros. Really, I only now got it..
Wait a minute, the plot thickens even more: Alt Heros.
He considers all his alt accounts to be heroic! Edited by DaLode on Oct 30, 2015 at 09:39 AM

And you should try to actually be funny with your sock accounts, but I should not expect anything of comedic value from the Hero of Alt Accounts. Even Sean is funnier than you at this point. I thought I was the un-humorous one on this forum. Guess I am @ notch 1.

Edited by Pepzee on Oct 31, 2015 at 02:19 AM Well, I didn't want to spoil this aspect, but I guess I will anyways. These loadout buttons are a placeholder to get the feel for the OS ui function and the UI widget definition, because there's more than just loadouts in terms of UI widgets needed for this level (There is A LOT planned that is going to be using UI widgets). The plan is to have customizable loadouts, so those buttons are definitely not final. Thank you for your feedback though and your button that you created :D
