Man I am pretty disappointed that we couldn't see FP leg and your own shadow in T.S.C.E

you may have seen this referred to in other engines as "soft particles." essentially, it causes particle instances to fade out as they intersect a surface (or the camera), rather than ending in a hard cutoff. for example:



on the left is with this disabled, on the right is enabled. it's a subtle effect when taken in isolation, but it really adds up when you have all this fire and smoke and etc floating in the air, I think

E: "how do I do this" the OS 4.0 adds an extension block to .particles and .particle_systems allowing you to specify the distance (in world units) over which this fade occurs

I don't understand what just happened. I put the game on normal, got in the warthog, went the normal way, then turned around and went the back way through the cave and Cortana yells "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" Then it tells me the security has been deactivated and Cortana tells me to proceed to the map room. Sure enough, the doors are unlocked.

Wow, this is an amazing achievement on such an outdated engine. I've played the map about 5 times now and the thing I enjoy most is the fluidity. It's just outstanding.

How do I get to the Golden Sniper Rifle without cheating?

there are trick jumps, both with and without the ghost, that can lead you to it and back out to the main level.



this sounds like a bug. we're currently taking a look at reproducing and fixing it.

Managed to get there by using the ghost, but it seems the gun despawned. Guess I'll have to bring a ghost with me the first time around on my next run.

I just found a bug where if you jack a wraith, and then marines jump on the side seats, when you get out the marines get out with you, but then they freeze.


EDIT: The gun doesn't de-spawn. You either accidentally hit it with a vehicle or activated a cheat (which disables certain eggs) or were playing on noble.


Why does "jetpack" activate "fun" mode if it disables eggs?
EDIT: Just beat it on Legendary, entered "cheat_jetpack 1" and got an exception.

I was playing on Normal, I'd already killed the guy (so my ghost couldn't have hit the gun), and I don't even have cheats enabled.

yeah I got that two. by the look of it.it was the ghost cuz as soon as you got near it that happens

Dosn't work. You need some kind of stuff in the system folders. Guess I'll ask my teacher.

Using any cheats will immediately halt all easy mode additions. So the ending would be closer to the normal one (if not identical).

This is an incredible work ! Too bad it's not know by every Halo fans.

I just have a problem : The map is completely messed for me.
Check this screen :

The textures are bugged all other the map. Blood, bullet impact etc.
There is also a glitch sound in the background that make the game absolutely unplayable.
I have uninstalled Open Sauce and Halo CE and re-installed everything and it didn't change.

I have a Phenom X4 955, Windows 7, 8 Go, and a AMD R9 270.

It looks like corrupted/incompatible bitmaps.map and sounds.map files.

Try using these instead (install as any other map):

So... What is cheat_jetpack supposed to do? Cortana seemed a little pisssed.

I tried it on Noble. When you enter the command and press enter, Cortana says "cheeeeeeeeeaaater"

It will call you out on using any cheats, including the one we give you for beating the level. However, since cheats effectively disable noble mode, you should probably not mix the two.

I think that is because i use a french Halo Custom Edition.

It can't be a bug. It has to be intentional. Cortana says "What the hell are you doing?" which is the same line she says if you kill Captain Keyes in A10. This was intentionally put there.
