How did it lack the halo feel? The setting? Because thats the only thing that really varied. The weapons and speed were all similar. The atmosphere of the city setting, the open and explorable nature and the way it was used to tell the story, and of course the excellent vehicle sections all of those things were great. I still don't understand the hate...

No PC maps? That sucks.
Still, I'll definitely be getting this, since 100+ maps, and all the original multiplayer from H1, H2, and H3 w/ all of the DLC for each, costing only $60 is a great deal IMO. Gives me a reason to use my Xbox One, at least.

Halo 2 online coop is gonna be fun.

Glad that they're FINALLY getting around to amending what HCEA needed, a true online multiplayer.

H2:A looks cool, but I need to see more, especially campaign. Kinda bummed that the cutscenes are going to be pre-rendered, its very unimpressive and does not stay true to Halo's roots. And it seemed unclear if all the maps were going to be remade in anniversary style, or only those select maps? Also, H2v maps included or no?

H3 should be cool, but I'd assume its not getting retouched really?

Personally I do not have an Xbox one, I'd love to get this if it was on 360 (or hey, PC!), I'd really rather not spend 400 dollars on another console that will eventually sit and collect dust. I haven't used my 360 in months now, last thing I did was actually play H3 MP on it and that was it.

And if its true that the PC maps won't be included with h1MP, I'll be very disappointed. It's really sad, as they almost completely ignore the entire PC community, as if it never happened. H2v? Whats that? H3PC plz?

I've gotta say I'm excited about this, even if the whole goal here is to encourage people to buy Xbox One. Doesn't really apply to many of you. The reason for prerendered cutscenes is to avoid the fiasco that was in H1 Ani, where the rigs were super crappy for modern cutscenes with modern assets.

H3 is going to be running at higher resolution, which in turn will make it a HD game, the original technically wasn't and it ruined a lot of the art.

Pretty sure it's a collection of all the first four games with 6 Halo 2 maps anniversified with a fully remastered campaign as well.

Who says that the cutscenes are prerendered...? That was just a trailer. Unless you have a source I call BS.

They will be done by Blur, the ones who did Halo War's cutscenes!

That still doesn't mean that they could be redoing them ingame though...

I'm like 98% sure they're rendered outside of the engine. Halo 4 had in-game cinematics while having the opening sequence and Spartan Ops episodes created by Blur.

I still think prerendered cutscenes is a terrible idea, even if the rigs weren't super great. They were still better than h1. The consistency level completely drops off the face of the earth when you do every single cutscene pre-rendered. One minute its a prerendered cutscene - the next your in an obviously ingame room thats not cgi quality.

The Halo presentation at E3 this year sucked.
Next to no info about Halo 5 and we were told everything we were expecting about an already rumored game.

false, anything after reach was and is going to be crap, its the rule of video games anyways, everything is going downhill

Halo 4 is the worst of them all, even ODST surpasses both Reach and 4

That's all in my opinion though.

Thing is this about Master Chief afaik, going up to #5... essentially a recap.

This basically combines $250 dollars worth of games and sticks it in one $60 dollar package, provided you have the $400 dollar console to play it. The sad part is that your essentially rebuying games you've already played with little to no reason, e.g if you already bought HCEA and Halo 4, theres not a big reason to pick this up besides H2:A and MAYBE a slightly updated Halo 3.

If Halo 3 updated res is a reason, so is Halo 4. There was definitely some things in Halo 4 that looks like crap because of it's resolution, mainly the detailed objects. Every time I looked down and saw that grass, it made me want to die.

Anyway Reach and ODST were no doubt the worse Halo games. Halo 4 isn't far behind though imo. The multiplayer could have not been as much as of a COD clone

Nope. All the other halo mp maps will look, sound and play like the original.

Not exactly though, you get the H1 and H2 MP online, and a non fragmented H3. Right now it's impossible to really enjoy H3's MP with so many people not having the DLC from when the game was free and the super long load times from people who have it installed. Thats an added bonus on top of the H2:Ani features. I don't think many of us see a need to have H4 on XB1. Those of us who liked it played it to death already and those who don't like it... well don't like it.

I am pretty sure they are keeping the H2V HUD for the campaign... the elite looks pretty bad there, but the quality of the pic is pretty bad too.
