After watching a video during IGN interview and the elites are supposed to have appearance elements from multiple Halo games, rather than just H4's. And definitely appeared to be unfinished. Anybody take a guess as to why there isn't any official pictures with the elites yet? A higher res Halo 3 elite is what we deserve. :'( The bulky torso + aesthetic head armor with sharp angles is great.

Also, I like the SMG. Quite a lot.

I also like that the chief's armor has the same wear in the same spots, for the most part. (only looked at one spot on the chest, and the worn marks where your mouth is covered on the helmet.

And the reason for the collection may to be for determining what the fanbase wants by the voting system. That + feedback from the early beta could spark a large change in the corect direction for Halo 5's multiplayer.

Am I the only one who was extremely dissapointed with Microsoft's Halo presentation?

The only thing I saw great out of it was the Halo 2 Remake. What really dissapoints me is the fact that they have the technology, resources and staff to create something great like an RPG or develop more complex canons within the Halo Universe... but instead they try to recycle things they've already made, and continue to butcher and shatter Master Chief's story. Sure, everyone says "Hey, it's only 60$ for all the halo's!" Do you have an Xbox one? No? There's another 200 dollars out of your pocket just to play this collection. Not really worth it in my opinion.

On top of that, I was really dissapointed with the multiplayer they presented, and how similar it was to Halo 4's assets... They all sucked, period.

I think they're trying to make money in the easiest way possible which is also very dissapointing.

Skip to 22:26, Frankie clearly states that ALL maps that ever shipped on a Halo game will be included, with the only exception being the H1 PC-exclusive maps.

im probably the only one disappointed with h2a, btw if h1a becomes 60fps, the animations will need to changed form 30 to 60 ingame, hilarious

They'd probably just need to update the engine so it updates everything 60 times in a second

resident evil 4 went 60 fps and things glitched and animations sped up, that water..... lol but halo might suffer the same fate

ODST was probably the best Halo game other than Combat Evolved. Just sayin.

I'm pretty stoked for halo 2 anniversary, especially since they're doing custom models of a lot of the h2 weapons from the look of those screens (they've at least remade the the br and the smg so far)

I always was annoyed by the visuals in the original halo 2, so this is perfect for me. I always wanted to see the old batlle rifle in high definition too, so I'm really excited for this!

Did you watch the video? All that forum post states are the names of the maps. In the video interview he explicitly stated that the Halo PC-exclusive maps would be excluded.

Nice, according to that TotalXbox link it seems that HPC maps are confirmed :D

Personally I prefer Reach's remake of Timberland better than the original anyway, but it'll be fun glitching on Danger Canyon for fast flag caps :D

EDIT: Damn Reach maps aren't even coming, so no H1A remakes. Reach's Beaver Creek and Prisoner were awesome too, damn shame.

Just realized that even Halo 4 MP will be worth a play, now that everyone has all the maps. This bothered me more than a lot of the questionable design choices. The maps that shipped with the game just weren't that great, but the DLC maps are fantastic - I bought them all like a sheep and then wasn't able to play it because no one else got them. Last time I checked, there was a DLC playlist only for the latest DLC, and it was severely under populated...

EDIT: I'm very interested in what they are going to do about H1's netcode. If they do it right I might actually have to go out and buy this...

If players don't have to lead their shots in H1 multiplayer anymore then I feel like it will be a whole new experience where players don't exclusively duel with the OP magnum.

You know... Not saying it would work, but if there is a time to offer up custom maps to 343i, now is that time. I'm sure the process for converting the maps is fairly straightforward. Would probably require some sort of contract to be sent to the creator, but otherwise it would be great to see Wartorn Cove/New Mombasa/Fissure Falls played by the masses.

EDIT: They probably still have the New Mombasa creators' numbers, seeing as at least one of them was involved in the development of the EK for H2V...
