Well i am starting my map again as seen here http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm%3Fpage=topic&topicID=43278

I would like some modelers that can do nice work on maps and make vehicles, weapons, scenery, bipeds.

I am ok at modeling but i forgot half of my skills due to college and work...

If you are not familiar with my goal, i am striving for a large realistic map that will be the next big thing.

By myself i am not currently capable to build it (maybe in 10 years) to how i want it. I already have 1 person willing to help. I am in the process of moving all my files to my new computer (that can handle auto desk better.

As always the map will not be password protected and all files will be usable to everyone when complete.

I have created a facebook page for this so file transfers and updates can hopefully be easier see here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1413211698943330/

If you would like to help please contact me, tell me what you can do, and possibly a picture of your good finished work.

contact me via
xfire: glennz01

you can message me via facebook also if you like. I will get on here more often now i hope.

My college ends may 1st so after that point i hope to do some serious work (and learning)

For those of you wanting an update on what i'm currently doing, besides moving files over i am currently looking for pre-made object files from my other programs (like DAZ) that will work for hce as i can make those usable as scenery.

Heres my rough to do list if i was doing all this by myself... i hope to have other modelers to help cause my skills will take me a long time to build...

See what objects may be usable from halo .. 130 3ds files remaining, start looking at daz files

take all good textures and place them in a sorted bitmaps folder

Add water to the map

nicely texture the map

revise map ground if needed

Texture bridges and or remake them if files are lost

Work on roads

work on towns / city

detail the towns city

make airport civ mil mix

make water port

make maps within the map

make boats that float

work on mine / cave system

populate with animals and critters

add basic trees scenery and stuff

as you can see it is a lot of work and that is just the tip of the iceberg so to say... without other modelers there is no way i will have it done any time soon.

Will talk more on xfire.

Soon when i get all of the textures in 1 folder i will release them.... currently there are over 500 textures in the folder... almost 400 meg compressed. A little something to look forward to in the near future.
