From what I've noticed, a lot of single-player tutorials cover the basic but from there on out you must learn everything by yourself. There are a few more indepth tutorials for hard things, but those tutorials are usually very specific to what they cover. I wanted to create a guide for new people getting into single-player mapping or those who have a start but just need a push before they can really get anywhere.

Let me know if you want me to cover anything that I have done in one of my maps!

--------------------
Setting up a single-player map and scripts [Video]
Getting AI to Follow the Player [Video]

Next one due to popular request from like 2 people:
Compiling music and dialog [Video] (Will film soon; just not happy with my last result)
------------------

Actually put some effort into the mod. If it looks like the author worked hard on it, people will play it.

At least they are updated, Ghost hasn't even cared of updating his tutorial list.

Because he's inactive.

I'd say that the Ghost's tutorial index on this website gets replaced by the CE3 tutorial index.

Which is still a WIP. I have to actually finish going through Ghost's old tutorial and then add a bunch on Halomaps. None the less, what is up there right now should all work.

Will you have OS users in mind when you make these? (the recorded animation utility doesn't work with it for example)

The recorded animation utility doesn't work with OS 3.1. There is no way around this to my knowledge so I'll be reverting back to an older build of Halo. You can still inject RAs and stuff into OS scenarios, so I guess I can mention how to do that. But I dont believe there is any way to record.

AH HA! KIRBS TOLD ME HOW TO DO IT!
it's the OS 'strings.dll' that doesn't play nice with the RA recorder. You gotta just swap out both program's strings.dll files to record then swap them back when you're done

You should go over an advanced encounter tutorial. EG something that would cover a lot of things wrapped into one nice big tutorial for others - AI migration, driving vehicles, and good level design and flow of encounters. I tried doing general design stuff in one of my older tutorials but it'd be nice if someone covered a nice thing in a whole video tutorial.

Oh yeah I did these....

I just filmed an basic Aether one. It basically shows you how to get a BSP in max, extremely basic light setup, then how to actually get 3ds max lights into Halo's lightmaps

I have just finished watching your "how to get ai to follow you" and I have a stupid question. Do your ai have new animations? The running seemed a bit diferent. I really like it.
