So, part of my B40 remake (still trying to figure out a name) is a complete overhaul of the graphics. With Bloom and Motion Bloor set, lighting and shadows are my next step. What I really want to know is if there is a way for scenery objects to cast shadows. And also, is there a way to improve lighting in the game?

I managed to snag the tutorial on ModaWiki before it went down. I've added it to the CE3 Tutorial Index. Tutorial by FireScythe http://haloce3.com/tutorials/lighting/Aether.htm

It's still a bit tricky of a tutorial to follow so test it a few times before you just jump into it.

Also I've heard VRay (add on to 3ds max) is good for lighting with Aether. I haven't used Vray and I only used Aether once to light the CE3 13 stage.

Well, I have set aether to work, but it's kind of complicated... The tutorial helps though.. I just don't want to waste time on something I will probably use once... So, is there any way except aether, to make my scenery cast shadows? Can I do it with OS maybe?

Damn... So, high quality dynamic shadows can be only achieved with aether... Got a lot of work to do.. Thanks again
