well, im making a map that relies heavily on the player being airborne, so i need to know how to make it so players wont take damage from falling UNLESS they fall beyond the point of no return. you see, my map is heavily laced with grav lifts (yes i have a working grav lift!) and i dont want all my players to catapult to their deaths...constantly. also, i need to know how to lower gravity a tad so my players cna jump higher. (not as important)


note: please dont tell me the dev command cheat_jetpack 1. i know this one already. thanks

gah! some of my collisions were off... the map is basically a field of debris in space, aka a bunch of scenery ships hanging in space, with grav lifts to help you catapult through space and get around. its really really cool! but umm... well it kinda sucks when you fall straight through dracos longswords and seraphs... ill deal with it later

I'm guessing that if the people fall down (in space lol), then you want them to die. You'll have to either create a death plane for the map or modify the max fall distance in globals.

i think i will edit the fall distance... this map is still pre-alpha, im just testing the ship-hopping so far in a version of bordingaction

U could add a volume at the death level and just have a cont. script checking for players and if they are there have the script kill them.
