is there a way to import bsps from halo to max then re importing to halo without redoing the texters?

You can import a bsp into max with the bsp importer of Aether on this site. However, if you want to make any change to the bsp (model, materials or uvs) and re-import it, you must recompile through tool and rerun lightmaps.

I assume this is what you mean by redoing textures.

well i want to combined small bsps i have into one for a map im working on and i want to know if i can do that without adding the bitmaps to max and import back into halo.

Use aether

Aether should import the materials with the level geometry into max. To see the textures in max you will have to extract all the bitmaps, which Aether can also do. After you get your new level, you can export it and use tool to get it back into halo. All the shaders should already exist in your tags folder if you are not changing or adding any materials.

import the nameoflevel.wrl into max and it will show you where the errors are.

also impoer the mtl and it will rebopulate and retesture your level in max for you.
