Hi HaloMaps users... Why don't a Halo CE port to CryEngine 3? We will have some advantages:
-A phisical engine
-A new AI management
-High quality textures and effects
-Directx 11 support.
-More quality on models.
-C++
-A new server client
-A major use of resources
-Support of multi-core cpus
-More RAM and 64Bit if necessary
-Google Sketchup , Blender , new 3DS Max and more.
- HD Audio.
-terrain engine
-BIG, VERY BIG scenerarios and more objects.
But disavantages:
-A PC with medium hardware(No older hardware than 2008, minimum a 8800gt)
-At last 2gb of RAM
-New 3ds Max versions.
-Time to lear it.
So, it is a very big upgrade to make a new and free game engine , and more quality maps.
What do you think?
(PS. It's illegal? We can use fan-made default assets)

a lot of the things you listed are not inherent of CryEngine 3 nor require it.

Ok, my problem is that my PC can't reach the stables 60FPS on the first CMT SPV3 release... I think that Halo CE is becoming old and 'unstable' with new hardwares...

I'm sorry, what? I don't quite understand what you mean.

Many have done this, they all disappeared. Not because of legal issues, but because they all failed(and didn't want to fess up about it) or because they got jobs and left
good luck doing the same

Build a better computer then you scrub and stop buying EA products.

I've an AMD Phenom II x4 3.2ghz and a 560GTX and 8gb of ram... I think my pc is too great for gaming, but will be replaced next year. It's strange that my PC has problem with CMT SPV3. No?
I've no problems with other games.
PS. I've only the CryEngine 3, i hate EA products XD

So, my idea is make a mod for CryEngine with Halo gameplay style(shields, melee, radar,HUD ecc...) and with the common Halo CE's characters and objects. Only this, a starter kit maybe.

Post an issue. This is obviously a very strange problem but it's one that can probably be solved.
http://code.google.com/p/open-sauce/

Probably won't be fixed for a while but that odd issue being fixed by Kornmann is a lot more likely than a CryEngine 3 port of Halo being made.

until my *%&^ing razer keyboard comes in, i'll still be on my laptop, it's like an '08 or something with a radeon 3200, and a horribly overloaded turion x2, don't complain about graphics to me. i can run most of the SPv3 beta a50 at 20+ fps with OS and ENB on maxed settings. also, i bought a rig on the fourth of july for 1200+ dollars, uberquality, it doesn't cost much to get an amazing rig, just save your money.

there's no way in heck your intel card is worse then my old 3200, upgrade all of your drivers, download the latest catalyst, set your computer to high performance, lower your mipmap detail, and then run halo at 600x400, that should fix your framerate. if it doesn't, then try overclocking, or the old windows media player trick.

The Intel HD 3000 is crap eitherway, and considering it's also on a laptop:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Graphics-3000.37948.0.html

I doubt updating drivers would make much of an improvement, but it is worth the try.
Also, catalyst is only for AMD/ATI graphics cards, and Intel doesn't have much of a main driver center like Nvidia or AMD does (not that advanced, anyways).

yea I will never overclock anything, its risky. but im at least thankful that I can run halo, dead space 2 at minimum, and halo 2 at max res with low detail, but im going to save up for msi 2OD dragon edition 2, gonna try to get mom to help out when summer ends and ill pay her back over time, I need a 32gb for my college major anyways

and yea 3200 is pretty old, my desktop that my uncle made in college last became upgraded with NVidia 6800, and that was a long time ago... im surprised the old thing can still run

I think Intel integrated video is an affront to all notebook and portable devices. It's sucks and I'll never buy a PC with Intel graphics, at least a notebook must have an AMD Radeon HD 5450 or a nvidia 420gt , not Intel.

uhh, 1,200 is a crapton of money. my rig is only 400 bucks and i can run crysis 2 on the hardcore graphics settings.not to mention i could run the crysis 3 beta on highest @ 40 fps

a good 800 dollar build can last you a long time, though make sure to budget for the videocard, its the most expensive part.

What windows media player trick?

u never heard of it, alright, well i can't explain it as well as some people could, but i'll give a brief summation. so if you've ever used windows media player, you'll know that its a performance beast, microsoft knew that when they made it, so they put a little bit of coding hidden in windows to boost the clock rate when windows media player is active. of course, listening to music in media player won't boost your games performance because your new resources are still being used to run media player, however there are ways around it. not playing music is the most common, but least effective. a few months ago i ran across a user made program that would partially run media player in the background, enough to boost the clock rate, but not have media player in use. in skyrim, it'll knock out around 1-2 load screens, haven't used it for much else. hope this helps.
