I'm gonna say no because they are way too many functions for one controller, and nobody has or will make one due to how impractical it would be.

It is possible but it will probably need some other software to do that.

It's much better to use a keyboard anyway. You'll need to type too, so that will be more convenient.

Well just plugging my 360 controller in yielded nothing. You'd probably need a certain driver which I doubt anyone has. My original xbox controller doesn't fit into the USB port and needs an adapter so I dunno. Perhaps there's as program that lets you set button binds on the controller or something, similar to SetPoint for logitech mice.

It would be useful for making recorded animations which can't happen anymore it seems

It is possible, but not practical at all. You can use Xpadder to map certain keyboard functions to the controller, such as the mouse for the right thumbstick, triggers for mouse wheel, and A buttom for right click (which would place objects).

All very impractical, but if you want to waste time and look like an idiot, yes it is possible.

You could bind all the buttons to certain actions yes, but it would require you to memorize the name of the device that you wanted to hook up to. Last time I tried to do that, my controller's(it's a duke xbox controller) name was some weird {BDA7B98B8D-BA9B9B8A-BLAHBLAHBLAH}. not worth it and didn't work anyways

Well, while you guys were arguing, I took 5 minutes to set up this config. It's simple, with the left stick being WASD and the stick click being shift, and the right stick with MX+,- MY+,-. "A" is right click, right trigger is middle mouse button, left trigger is left mouse button and LB and RB are F and R respectively.

Isn't that pretty much how I said it would work?

One question though, does it feel legit? :o

All that needs to be modified is the mouse speed, otherwise it feels pretty nice. The only gimicky part is selecting the scenery items and stuffz. I guess I could set functions so that it "scrolls" through item lists and the hierachy panes.
