My ini reads....

[Version]
Signature = "$Chicago$"
AdvancedINF = 2.5, "Your setup subsystem is outdated. Please install IE 3.01 or greater."
Class = MEDIA

[DefaultInstall]
CopyFiles = CopyFiles.DLL
UpdateInis = UpdateInis.95
MediaType = Software

[DefaultInstall.NT]
CopyFiles = CopyFiles.DLL
AddReg = AddReg.NT
MediaType = Software

[DestinationDirs]
CopyFiles.DLL = 11
DefaultDestDir = 11

[UpdateInis.95]
system.ini, drivers32,, "msacm.imc=imc32.acm"

[AddReg.NT]
HKLM, "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32", "msacm.imc",, "xbadpcm.acm"
HKLM, "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\drivers.desc", "xbadpcm.acm",, "Xbox ADPCM Audio CODEC"

[SourceDisksNames]
1 = "Xbox ADPCM Audio CODEC installer",xbpcm.cab,0

[SourceDisksFiles]
xbadpcm.acm = 1

[CopyFiles.DLL]
xbadpcm.acm,,,33

[Strings]

I am thinking this does not even install the codec in the right directory.
I try to use this tut but no luck I installed it with the ini and nothing happens
tool wont work with xbox codec =( I need to to make sounds for my weapons. =(

Control Panel>>System>>Hardware>>Device Manager>>Sound, video and game controllers>>Audio Codecs
Go to the properties tab
double click Xbox ADPCM Audio CODEC
make sure the radio button is selected for "use this audio codec"
set priority to 1.
Ok.

And this wont work for me ^ there is no Audio Codecs in my Sound, video and game controllers =(

I'm pretty sure the Xbox ADPCM codec only works in Windows XP. I was forced to run all programs that required the ADPCM codec in a virtual machine because it defiantly doesn't work on 64 bit machines.

Have you tried to compile an XboxADPCM sound yet?(even without the codec)

AFAIK Windows 8 already comes with a built-in API for xbox sounds(XAudio2)

Try messing with the labels at the top.

Idk what to do really; just for kicks set it to "script dialoge other" and see what happens
