Asd, in this way if you have the Reach model, you can recreate the Halo 4 Banshee with just a reskin xD

We don't even have a fully-working Scarab, imagine a Mammoth... Do you like this? Still better than CEA. Keyes looked too young (and dumb)... Edited by SOI_7 on Apr 4, 2013 at 04:30 PM

But your opinion is yours, so I'm not gonna press it ;D

well, mostly it's the eyes and skin tone, he just looks like he wants to tear apart w/e it was he was looking at :P reduce the white in his eyes, and probably put back a few wrinkles soften his face too, the jagged edges don't help Edited by SilentJacket on Apr 4, 2013 at 04:51 PM

I think the eyes are the problem... I'll fix them again :/ And maybe I'll do something to improve the geometry, like replacing the old hands with a more detailed version

I wanted to edit the model, but Gmax gave me this... Why the hell does it screw smoothing groups??? They all give me the same result, and I don't know how to smooth the edge of the face!!

I know, Gmax is terrible sometimes. Did you try "select by element", select his head, click remove all smoothing groups, and try again?

Yes, but it didn't work :( Edit: Finally got it, I had just to weld the vertices: Also got better hands and shoes, now they're really good: I'd like to use my stuff in a campaign mod, maybe with other improved stuff, like extended BSPs, different missions, more dialogues, cutscenes, enemies, vehicles and different songs... But only when I'll get a consistent number of tags. I'm also waiting for the Halo 4 OST Vol. 2 Edited by SOI_7 on Apr 6, 2013 at 10:35 AM

Sure :P First of all, I've enchanced the H4 sword, because the first version didn't satisfy me: Thanks to TDog for the H4 textures! I know that I could have used directly the H4 model (the rip, I mean), but you know that I love editing stuff instead of just copying and pasting it. Moreover, I also try to get, in this way, a low-poly version of the H4 models, in order to avoid performance problems. I've also modified CMT Flood textures, in order to have a more disgusting look: And what about this deployable cover I made? Edited by SOI_7 on Apr 17, 2013 at 01:10 PM

in terms of the energy sword, I think you should go for a more smoother energy-like appearance rather than a nitty-gritty sword made of "plasma?" look.
I mean, come on, the plasma has scratches on it.

I mean, come on, the plasma has scratches on it. At first I did it smooth, but then I noticed that the H4 sword has a sort of scratched ice-detail map... But if you prefer a smooth look, I'll remove it. By the way, it's just an additive map (the leather seat of the lifepod, to be precise)...

It could just be me, but that glowing effect you have going there looks way too strong. Try making the diffuse for that a tad bit more transparent
