Here are a few suggestions: The gray section in the middle of the gun could also use some darkening, methinks, to match the black cowling. Overall, it doesn't look half bad. CE needs more MA5's with underbarrel launchers. Edited by Echo77 on Jul 8, 2013 at 11:50 AM

By the way, that empty space under the flashlight trigger was made in order to insert the grenade into the barrel. Perhaps I should make something for the back part (on the right of the black box)...

If you put a magazine where the black box is, then grenades could be inserted that way, and you'd have a launcher with three or four shots.

Maybe you can also make a variant of this but instead of a launcher it has a shotgun :p They make buckshot and flechette rounds for grenade launchers, which allow them to function as oversized shotguns. The Brute grenade flings pointed steel projectiles, but they do not have any sort of fins to stabilize them in flight. Flechettes in a shotgun provide a tighter spread and increased range, but wounds are generally inferior to those inflicted by buckshot.

I want to add some sort of magazine in that empty space, but before proceeding I have a question: the weapon, now, reloads the grenade after every shot, because the "magazine" homes just one grenade, and mostly because the weapon can't have two reload animations (and so the weapon uses the reload animation of the grenade instead of the fire-2 animation); now, if I put a magazine with more than one grenade, I won't be able to use two reload animations, unless I make an "universal" magazine for both the primary and the secondary trigger, or I could make a magazine with a single grenade (that seems a bit pointless). What do you suggest me?

Give it a 3-5 -round magazine, and after the player has expended all of them, they must exchange the weapon with a replacement assault rifle that has grenade ammo in order to continue fragging.

I have just finished fixing the AR, and I got this: I have rounded the edge of the handle, reduced the diameter of the secondary barrel, toned down the gray parts and reduced the contrast of the display. Moreover, I have modified the animations, and added a sort of magazine in that empty space behind the secondary barrel. What do you think? Does it need something else?

It's looking better, although I think the grenade launcher should have a magazine roughly the size and shape of the black box I drew. Having a magazine that only holds one round wouldn't really offer any benefits over a muzzleloading design. But other than that *thumbs-up*

Magnum ready! This was pretty easy to make: while working, I realized that the H2 Magnum is just a H1 Magnum without the top part of the muzzle, and so I rapidly got the H2 style, and had the time to add more details and edit the shape a bit. HOW IT WORKS: This magnum is an hybrid between the God Pistol (H1) and the H2 Magnum: it has the H1 precision and damage, but it doesn't have the scope, and is semiautomatic. Moreover, it has the HCEA firing sound (I have to admit: 343i did a great job with the sound) and a custom reload sound. I think it's ok, what do you think?

The trigger guard is too curved. I feel that it should be more angled, like in Combat Evolved. Other than that, though, it looks pretty good. An extended magazine variant could be cool.

By an extended magazine, I mean one that has more rounds in the magazine, as well as geometry that shows its increased capacity. MAH SMG: I've collapsed the back with the stock, and folded the foregrip. Then, as always, I've added some details like bolts and extra parts. I've also modified the handle in order to have a more ergonomic and comfortable shape. Finally I've modified the texture, trying my best to get a good result. What really pissed me off was the sound: due to the rapid rate of fire, I had to use a sound_loop instead of a regular firing sound in the firing effect. This, however, didn't give me the same result I wanted :/ How did it come out? Edited by SOI_7 on Jul 20, 2013 at 12:20 PM

The stock seems to have merged with the grip. While it doesn't look bad, you might want to keep them seperate, because the connection between the receiver and the stock seems to imply (to me, at least) that it would be adjustable. The foregrip still seems to be extended. By folding it, I meant rotating it so that it's tucked up against the bottom of the gun. These are just personal preferences, however. The only real flaws are that it seems that the magazine is open on one side (see bottom image; the rows of caseless rounds are visible), and that the front sight is missing.

Oh, I thought that the foregrip should have been folded to the outside (also because if it is tucked up under the gun you won't be able to held it)... about the magazine, I wanted to make the rounds visible again, like in Halo 2, because the magazine in the previous chapter had a transparent side that allowed you to see them. The missing front side was intentional (an experiment that I wanted to do), but I can add it again if you want

Perhaps you could put a transparent pane on that side of the magazine so the rounds are visible, but don't look like they could fall out? A front sight is a necessity unless you were to mount some sort of optics, in which case it would be redundant (but still a good thing to have in case of optics failure).

perhaps have small planes that stick out on the back just enough to hold in the rounds, then the mag could still be open, and your bullets won't fall out. also, adjust the grip and make the bumps smaller so humans could hold it better. furthermore, u should return the foregrip and the front sight to their former glory. aside from that, nice work, maybe your best yet. keep it up.

Thanks for your suggestions, guys! I've worked on the SMG today in order to fix its problems, and I got this: As Dumb AI suggested, I made the foregrip perpendicular to the weapon, and I have brought back the front sight (I wonder why Bungie made two sights, by the way...). About the magazine, like Echo77 suggested, I have put a transparent plane in order to simulate a glass support. I know that is hard to believe from the pictures that it is glass, though, since you can't judge a reflection map from a static image :/ I hope it is better now, so I can start working on the next weapon: the Sniper Rifle (though it scares me as hell, since I have to turn it into a Laser Designator...)

I definitely like the smg... but I still think it needs something. All your other weapons have some obvious defining features that make them stand out versus the original Halo versions, but the smg(excluding the grip and stock merge) looks almost exactly the same... especially in the FP views :\ I think you should do something a bit more radical with it.
Maybe remove the current sights, or change their shape? or... an ammo counter possibly? or maybe remove the front grip and give it a grip more like the assault rifle.

@SOI 7: The reason Bungie gave the SMG two sets of sights is because you must have a rear sight and a front sight to properly aim a weapon (at least when referring to iron sights). The two must be brought into allignment in order for you to have an idea of where the barrel is actually pointing.

The magnum only has a visible rear sight because of the scope module bolted to the front of the gun. On magnums that lack this scope module, such as the M6C, the front sight is visible. Edit: Ninja'd. I agree with Bobblehob. It does look a lot like a standard SMG in the first person. Perhaps you could put a red dot sight on the top rail, like in Halo 3: ODST? One idea that might yield better results for the sniper rifle, would be to turn it into a Laser cannon of sorts, similar to the Spartan laser, but smaller beam and less damage. If you have a constantly rotating power-cell in the receiver of the gun (visibly there nonetheless, adding a node for it to animate isn't too bad an idea either [unless you cant animate]), you'll have a way to explain why you don't have to charge the gun as opposed to the Spartan Laser which needs a charge. Plus, Lower energy consumption per shot also reasons why it doesn't overheat.
