Is it still expired if you download a newer version ?
Nope.
My method for solving fatal max errors which cannot be solved by re-installing or repairing the installation of autodesk related products.
1. Uninstall max using revo.
2. Clean up your uninstall with cc cleaner.
3. Delete any remaining Autodesk folders leftover in your system.
C:\Program Files\Autodesk
C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk
C:\Program Files (x86\Common Files\Autodesk
C:\Users\urnamebruh\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk
C:\Users\urnamebruh\AppData\Local\Autodesk
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk
4. Type "%TEMP%" -without quotes in your mypc address bar and delete the contents or back it up if your feeling slightly pussee.
5. Open up "RUN" - xp/7 or "Search" if your on win8+ type in: regedit
Now expand the following keys:
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software
6. And delete any subkeys using the "autodesk" prefix.
Make sure to back up any scripts/plugins/saves you have lurking around your pc, I usually just slap them into a folder on my desktop and zip them into an archive.
7. Now reboot your pc and re-install.
If you are incurring license errors e.t.c try deleting/moving this files it worked once for me in the past:
C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_########_tsf.data
C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_########_tsf.data.backup
