So I recently blew through 6 seasons of the 2005 Doctor Who reboot in two weeks and was inspired to create this and I decided to use the TARDIS model here on halomaps and create this scene in CE:

- I unwrapped the model to an image of the TARDIS (which makes it actually look good)
- Animated by me
- I haven't finished unwrapping it.
- I know the animation is a bit choppy.
- The time vortex is an animated shader which I created a custom bitmap for.
- I like the light working on top.

It's awesome that you like Doctor Who. It's a great show that I've been watching since childhood.

Planning on any more Doctor Who stuff in CE?

rofl i actually made a dalek model, its insanely high poly as i had planned to sculpt damage into it... well time to do some baking XD

Okay... so my sister is freakishly obsessed with Doctor Who and she says you messed up.

The roof is apparently not supposed to be flat, it should be raised in the center so that it slopes up to a smaller square shape in the center (under the light).

I actually noticed that before, but I didn't think it was worth messing with the model. Will be fixed!

Well don't change it just for me... I have personally never liked the show, but my sister does so I showed her your thread and she bugged me till I agreed to comment. But she doesn't play halo, so it doesn't really matter now that she isn't bugging me any more. lol.

Hello, I'm the guy who modeled the TARDIS.
I'm going to have to disagree about the top, I've actually got the workshop plans for the TARDIS [all versions] as well as the Daleks, the top is actually flat, the main thing is the older TARDIS models from pre-90's were mixed at times, how ever my model was based upon the workshop plans as of 2009 onwards.

I appologize in in advance if this "bump" is against any forums rules, I've only found out today my work was being used and found my self to this thread discussing it.

Also Dennis, who was your favorite Doctor? Personally I enjoyed Hartnells work.

I was a big fan of Tom Baker's Doctor and Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith but I have to say that the current Doctor, Matt Smith, has been very very good. I was sad to see Karen Gillan leave but very happy that we have more of Alex Kingston as River song.

I've seen the Tardis pop up in user created content in other games. The last sighting was in a Left 4 Dead 2 map so having one in a Halo CE maps seems fitting.

Indeed, and where the Tardis goes, the Daleks aren't too far behind either.

It's clearly not for everyone. It can be fairly fast paced and if you're not too clever it may be hard to keep up with all the wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff.
