this guy, we really need a way to critique maps once they are done, other than hunt for the development thread.

Personally, I'm for reviews as long as they remain useful. If it is like it is on this forum, then thanks but no thanks. We don't need everyone to go bitching at every map and complain that it's ugly and rips and bla bla bla. That's useless.

OK let me give you my thought on the categories

All Videos -------- I think you get this one
Map Walkthru ---- Reviews, and videos showing off a map(s)
GamePlay -------- Montages and random multiplayer or single player gameplay
Music Video ------ Halo CE videos to to show off the music
Comedy/Parody - Stuff meant to be (but not always is) funny/ humorous
Adventure -------- Stories and machinima for Halo CE
Tutorial ----------- How to use/make map tools like HElK or modeling
Instructional ------ How to do things with the game
Other ------------- Anything that doesn't fit elsewhere

I am open to suggestions for example would a review be different than a map walkthru? Or should I just change the title? Are there any categories you would like to see? Should there be a section for Tricking or Glitching? Should there be one to show off tags? I am trying to make it easier to find videos for the game since finding them in YouTube is hit or miss.

I think that the maps section needs a new format

individual map thread
-link at top
-author posts what he wants to show off the map in the middle
-comments/critiques at the bottom

and I think that most of all,we need a way to delete individual posts
the reason spammers are so effective here is because there is no way to delete a comment without having the entire thread go with it, so it remains up, to anger more people, and cause flame wars

Is there some way to change the architecture so that we can delete individual posts, or maybe move the map showcase to a sub site so that it is more easily managed?

I'm not sure about tricks/glitching (unless this includes Easter Egg hunts), but I could definitely see a section for mods in general (including tags) being really useful...

Is this new H:CE site intended to replace HaloMaps? My next comments'll depend on that.

Dratt: If what I suggested gets implemented, then I'm guessing that CE3 can also expand to become like an annual navigator for new mods. I think it'd be really helpful for the event to have a more active role as the community's main stage.. Just sayin'

Oh okay, thank you. In that case, yeah, I'd really like to see a section for videos showing new tags/mods (i.e.-CMT and TehLag's weapon mod videos).

But seriously, uploading videos of in progress works would be pretty cool.

may i suggest Open Sauce section? for new users getting to know what it does to improve in-game assets.
