Today, I was thinking. What would happen if the Flood tried to infect a half organic, half robot/droid (or cyborg, I should say), like General Grevious from Star Wars. I used him as an example because that who I was thinking of (I have a lot of Star Wars/Halo crossover ideas, just to explain) at the time I thought to ask this.

same as any infected person

assuming that the robotic side is controlled by the organic side, one of three scenarios could happen:

1) nothing changes, the flood tap the spinal column and assume control over mechanical and organic functions alike

2)The mechanical portions are controlled exclusively in the brain, and since the flood effect the spinal column, the mechanical portions now flump around uselessly

3)given sufficient biomass, an organic frame could be grown over the mechanic parts allowing full articulation, augmented by the strength of the mechanical skeleton underneath

The same thing that happens to anything that gets infected.

It would just become a Flood Cyborg.

Well, I assume that Grievous' body is controlled by his brain (I'm not sure what parts of his body were transplanted to his new cyborg body), and it doesn't seem to be that much bio-mass on him, his cyborg parts would just go limp. At best, his organic parts can be used as bio-mass. If anyone know more about his anatomy, then correct me. What about cyborgs controlled by the mechanical side?

wasn't it established that flood could utilize the hosts memories to use machinery (driving, shooting guns, etc) so I would guess that the flood just use the hosts memory of how to "use" the cyborg part of itself.

from what I understand, there is not much left of him...

If his mechanical augments were controlled by his cyborg side, then it would be the same as infecting a sentinel, which is to say, you can't

If he had sufficient biomass, the flood could mutate the body into a scythe to destroy the power supply or CPU, provided it knew where it was, and then use the mechanical limbs as a reenforced skeleton, making it very hard to kill (but again, provided it had sufficient biomass, from what I understand of Grievous, you only have about half a torso worth of biological mass)

If what you say is correct, then only people in the entire Confederacy of the Independent System who are vulnerable to infection would be Count Dooku, Darth Sidious (technically also a member of the Republic), the leadership of the various members of the CIS (Trade Federation, Techno Union, etc..), the various organic bounty hunters and mercenaries in their employ, and any civilians of the CIS. That leaves the vast array of battle droids, assassin droids, and General Grievous to stand against the Flood. I choose the title for this thread to leave it open to other questions. What would happen if a Jedi or Sith got infected? Would all of the Flood hoards suddenly be able to use force powers, or just host who were force sensitive pre-infection? Would they even be able to use them?

If they are smart enough. They act like stupid crazy animals without a Gravemind.
The Force can only used by people who are Force-sensitive.
Most people aren't so not all the Flood can use such powers.

But those who can would probably be very dangerous. If what I know about the Flood's knowledge absorption is correct, then each Force-Sensitive Combat Form could use all of the force powers that each infected Jedi/Sith collectively knew, unless the body has to be attuned somehow before using a certain power. Man, I want to put these ideas to use so badly.

we may never know.

My bad. Still fairly new too to this forums stuff. I assume that putting Star Wars into Kingdom Hearts (as much as I dislike Kingdom Hearts) won't work either (since Disney now owns the rights).

Wellp, seeing as the X can replicate any living cell it wants to(B.O.X was just a brain), it might be a pretty good cure, no?

GEneral G only has a human heart as far as organic mass goes. The rest of his body is mechanical. Think of the heart as a power cell. because his heart is where he gets his ability to do anything. because it is only a single heart, the flood would not try to harvest the mechanical side and only use the infected heart as bio mass for a larger Flood form.

About the force.....The force is based on medachlorians, tiny microscopic organisms that connect everything and are insie everything. people whom are able to use the force have a higher concentration of active organsims and are able to use them, to accomplish what we percieve as "the force". The flip side of this is, you cannot be taught to use it per say, that is to say you either can at birth or not at all. The knowldge of the Force is not something that can simply be absorbed osmosis style as the flood do. The Force is unique to each and every individual that can use it, so it cannot be passed on. The person has to be fully aware and individual for it to work. Since the flood is controlled by a mass collection of thought and memory in the form of a conciousness, that form would not be able to fully grasp or understand or even use it.

I think the far greater question is, how the hell would the flood get close enough to someone as powerful as a true jedi or Sith to even infect them. With a single thought or fling of the finger, they could send the flood to dust.
