I just went in and played the Lumoria_b that is uploaded, grunts and marines were throwing grenades in the opening encounter.

Not sure why you think they wouldn't, Matt's tagset isn't the same as mine or Higuy's.

I was playing the finals builds. Just probably out of luck you didn't see them being thrown.

Gonna film D tomorrow night! Gotta lot of behind-the-scene cinematic talk to talk about lol

Even in Matt's commentary, just watching C now, you can hear a marine say "fire in the hole!" at two minutes. Yeah, grenades definitely work for AI!!

Is it me,or is everyone on this page posting how awesome an AI is when he/she/it throws a grenade?
It's not that amazing, unless you get stuck with a nade 500 yards away from the AI who threw it.

We purposely scripted in a lagging sequences every now and then to get FPS drops on lower end hardware.

Funny how I can run SPV3 on max settings just fine, yet this mod makes my FPS pretty low, even with lowered settings. I'm not understanding..

I can't help you there. This campaign pushes CE to its original limits in terms that SPv3 can never reach. SPv3 is about graphics, perhaps your card is well suited for those levels. There's ALOT more going on in our levels in terms of AI activity etc. And our BSPs are larger too.

That's the only possible explanation I can give you.

I believe it's because CMT uses the original bsps, which were already optimized. Lumoria has much larger BSPs and possibly more geometrical detail compared to the orginal campaign levels.

More likely it's due to sloppy tagging, just pop open one of the maps in HEK+, you'll see what I mean.

That could also be another reason. Didn't think about that.

I'm sure most people don't worry about that since it's the year 2012 (almost 2013).

Yeah i checked that out a while ago, thought it doesn't effect my performance, I could see how it could though.

finished it. twas a lot of fun! Walking felt supper slow since it had been a while since I played halo. lol

Still quality of work was high, and I loved how yall stuck to the style of halo 1 without wanting to be halo 3 or reach. :)

Excellent work!

Nah, most of them are default tags. Tags effect tagspace mainly. Otherwise our tags will obviously be of a similar performance to the default tagset. The reasons I listed are much more likely to effect FPS, much grander epic encounters, larger majestic BSPs. Real things that affect real FPS.

I used a laptop and I never experienced lag through any of the lumoria maps

But that's probably because I have a fairly good laptop (there was no space in my bedroom for a desktop setup until I moved into my sister's bigger room, but by then I had already bought a better laptop and this laptop does it's job just fine so meh not complaining).

I think that lumoria_a seemed a little too dark compared to the last lumoria builds for some reason, but the last time I played was on my old laptop and I probably had higher gamma settings then.

I finally got off of my lazy butt and downloaded and played through the entire campaign....For a fan made creation i thought you guys did a tremendous job ...i loved how you combined stuff from other halo games into your creation without losing any of the halo ce feeling...bravo
the cut scenes (especially) and voice acting was much improved from the original lumoria..the VA wasnt as bad as i thought it was going to be (better but still a weak point ) from some of the crit here and from modacity ( i did laugh when the acsendent sage flubbed one of his lines).

I like your bsp and forerunner structures better in lumoria 2 (more epic than in L1)...very nicely done . my only real bsp complaint was that i think the water needed improvement...
my only other real crit was that i thought that the acsendent sage model really need to be more articulate instead of just being static ...moving legs and head sections would have helped

thanks for all of your hard work ...

This might be a bit of a bump but I wasn't sure where else to put it.

I'm about to completely wipe out my PC and I need my external hard drive for backing up stuff. Though my hard drive itself is pretty full, meaning I'm gonna have to get rid of stuff.

That includes my Lumoria files. I have a lot of animations for Lumoria Ep 2, including blank/white bsp files for some areas, most of the dialog lines in WAV format, backup of the website, and a few other misc files. As well as the tagset complete, up till the last time I've worked on Lumoria.

After this Saturday, all those file will be lost. (About 2gb worth so I'm not uploading online). And the Lumoria chapter can forever die.... (which I'm sure some of you would like anyway).

LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT ANYTHING :D

-------------
P.S. Lumoria won the poll for "Best project of CE3 2012". Thanks everyone! I appreciate your feedback and hope to apply what people said about Lumoria into consideration for my own maps. Unfortunately Higuy and Lodex have moved on from CE mapping though

how can people not like it? it's classic halo 1 gameplay made by a talented team whose only fault is that they do not have the same mics as bungie did

I would like the tags for the ODSTs, mainly the leader who uses the shotgun in battle. I am drawing a blank on his name right now unfortunately

Brandon. You can rip the tags from the map files, they are all open source. If my memory serves correctly, his main tags would probably be found in "tm\characters\brandon"

Also, Hiralis, unfortunately I only have a couple of the BSP's and I don't know how up to date they are, it seems the rest of them were lost when I wiped my hard drive. That does not mean, however, you could rip the BSP tags and export them back into .obj files to look at them.

dropbox? lol cloud?

unhelpful, as dropbox limits users who don't pay.
