Hi, I haven't compiled a map in a long time and I'm doing this by memory.

But any non flagged geometry won't show up in sapien. (flagged geometry being "+sky" or "water!$")

My process is:

  • export

  • compile

  • add sky

  • compile

  • lightmaps

  • sapien



I'm only using Default halo materials so no shader creation is necessary.

I have attempted 2 different bsp (1 for me and a test) compiles and both have failed.

This is what the test level looks like in 3ds max:

looks perfect to me, maybe you forgot to link everything[you want ingame] to Frame?

@OP: or maybe (even though u said u did in you first post) you forgot to run the radiosity (it looks like it)

It's all one object and I ran radiosity with the command:
tool lightmaps levels\test\tsts\tsts levels\test\tsts\tsts 1 0.001

you have extra text that isn't really needed to run lightmaps just.

tool lightmaps levels\test\tsts tsts 1 0.001

^should be your command providing your map is in the test folder and is called tsts

even give it a test run on quality 0 0.9

tool lightmaps levels\test\tsts tsts 0 0.9

tool lightmaps "directory\map_folder\map_scenario" "map_bsp" "quality" "stop threshold (smallest number is 0.000001)"
