It's a step in the right direction, though I noticed it used many elements of Firefight Descent mixed with non-matching elements. The tagset was a mess. Choclate Thunda's Shield and helath bitmaps mixed with a H3ODST HUD for example.

The gameplay was engaging, though it was pretty easy to nade the crap out of the brutes, because each on that died seemed to drop 2 plasma grenades. Constant explosion spam sessions ensued.

Then you should not release things or you should protect your maps.
Its not his fault for using it, its your fault for letting him use it when you dont want it used.

It's not bad that he's using tags from the map, it was just poorly implemented into the tagset and no credit was given for anything in the map (not just our stuff).

Anyways, the gameplay was still fun, so I'm not trying to shoot down this map.

Moose put it the best way possible, he ripped with out giving credit to the original makers of the tags. Its pretty much taking hard work and letting some person put it together and say it was his.

1 important thing to remember:try keeping things consistent.
Always compress maps,no matter what size it is.Use WinRAR,WinUHA,WinZip,7Zip,etc(whatever works).Hunter will probably be unhappy if he sees that.People probably aren't going to download such a massive file.It's over 200 MB,for Pete's sake.Compression helps a lot.

under normal circumstances, i'd go ahead and try this map to see how everything works. However, the download is about 21 minutes on IE and 48 Minutes on Firefox. I have 58 mbps for my DL speed, so i know thats not the issue. Unless you decide to compress the file and put it on a reliable download source, i'm almost certain that the download speed will be bane of this map. (Try Using Dropbox and winzip, it really helps)

I finally got around to downloading the map and tried it out today. I took a video and imma leave it here so you can go and check out how i played it.

Now, i noticed a lot of different things that you did in this map, both good and bad. Since its easier to learn from Mistakes, i'll tell you what was done wrong

Bad Aspects of the Map
-Map was too small for good gameplay
-Inconsistent HUD
-Inconsistent Weaponry
-Rediculous amounts of sheilds and health
-Absurdly easy AI
-Predictable AI Spawns (I show this in the video quite often)
-Bad Ambient Sounds
-Overpopulated Map
-Too Many Particles and Effects on screen at once
-Easy Access to Power weapons
-Poor weapon balance

But you didn't do EVERYTHING wrong...

Good Aspects of the Map
-Well Scripted
-Good Weapon Sounds
-Well Chosen scenery pallete
-Firefight Voices (I've actually never heard these ingame before)
-Potential


Though overall, the map was on the poorer side, you did make a really decent attempt, far better than a lot of other people i've actually seen. Everybody has to start somewhere, and by the looks of this, you've got a really solid start into mapping (if this is your starting point, as i've never really seen you on these forums, like, anywhere). What you should do is this

-Choose a bigger map to start with
-Make varied spawns with better encounters
-Chose a Tagset that follows a common asthetic (I suggest using CMT's SPv3 tags)
-Use a HUD that follows with every weapon
-Make the player easier to kill
-Tone down the hunters a tad bit (if you watch the video, you'll notice how they essentially 1 hit kill me almost every single time)
-Use less particles and effects in the map
-Use better AI, with more structured encounters
and most importantly
Keep trying!

I cannot stress enough that you will ONLY get better if you keep on making an attempt to do so. Try gathering people to beta test with you and improve the map as a whole. For Instance, look at SeL from when he made Requiem, he had to go through several beta tests before the map came out as it is now. Look at ChBgt909 with Core, he's come a LONG way from where he's started, but only by him not giving up. Keep at it and you'll be able to get this to work.

Most importantly,don't make it a lagfest.
And don't use SPv2 unless you want to.I believe that it's overused(likely because of CMT's departure from Halo for a significant time)

Use HEK+. I know you know how to. You already did it to get those Descent tags. And I know this because of the HUD elements and my Hunter shaders.

Gonna rant for a bit.

For the love of all that is holy, why does everyone overlook weapon and effect consistency in their maps! The only weapon sets that I have seen in any map in recent memory are those in the CMT SPV3 release, the stock tags released with maps like Lumoria and other mods, and those in Ifafudafi's Another Stupid Campaign Mod. Its absolutely ridiculous that so little effort is put into weapon sets and effects when it is a much easier task to do simple reworking on subtle effects and edit out those weapons that look completely off, or have a different effect and visual style than the rest in the map. I mean ffs, if you have the time, energy, and drive to make an entire map that is as complicated as this is, then why not make sure that everything looks as good as it possibly can, instead of making a nice looking map and throwing in the same jumble of ugly, mismatched, particle spewing weapons, usually consisting of H3 ports that have slowly been corrupted more since they were ripped from their original map file, as well as a jumble of slightly edited CE weapons, both of which have H3 and CE style effects sets that have been sprinkled on top randomly.

Please consider it.

There's no debug or nothing is when I load the biped it just exits out
