Hey, that revenant looks amazing. Sorry I haven't posted in a while, turns out online college classes are work-intensive, vehicle modeling really isn't my forte, and my family is going through some rough stuff right now; I haven't really been in the mood or had the time to do much of anything.

Anyway just wanted to say keep up the good work with the revenant; I just know it's gonna be amazing. I might frequent this site less for a while, so if anybody has any pressing questions, please e-mail me at rickreid@gmail.com.

I was working on fixing all the errors in Bone Yard v02 and have been roadblocked by the shell casing of a .50 Caliber cartridge. (Netbooks aren't for 3d modelling. Should be done by Sunday I hope. THen I will continue on the MA5C anims.

Powerhouse has new shaders and textures, should be more visually appealing too.
OS will be used in powerhouse and boneyard.

It's kinda nice. Who modelled it? The smoothing on. The handle need proper id's to fix the dark stuff. Ive seen professional modellers with terrible smoothing groups. Seperate id's in places where the faces join and are at separate angles such as a smoothing of 1 on all the sides of a cylinder and a smoothing Id at the base and top of the cylinder

bipeds, weapons, vehicles... you are putting a lot of effort right there and i love it

but what about the bsp's? i rly want to know your progress so far on some of the bsp work,so... pics pls

Powerhouse now has new textures, and (.yelo only) epic OS bloom which looks exactly like the real thing.
Boneyard is being ingamed.

well, as you know, there are elements in reach bsps that are not attached with the ground, they were just placed like any scenery objects, this creates tons of errors in halo ce engine, you can, of course, attach them, without having to delete faces, move them, not even messing with the uvw

i used this method with my map "Imposing" and i'm using it with my current WIP "Core"

the tool you need is the pro-boolean, i believe only 3ds max 10+ have that tool, idk if you need this little tutorial nor if you already know about it but here it is:

1.- select the object you want to attach to the main terrain


2.- as you can see, it's not attached to the "terrain":


3.- now, with the object you want to attach to the terrain selected, follow the instructions in the picture:


4.- follow these steps:


5.- and just like that, the model is attached :D


sometimes you can get small errors, if you do, import the WRL file to the scene, spot them, and just go to "edit poly", "vertex mode"> target weld to weld 2 vertex and/or "face mode" > edit triangulation, but believe me, with those 2 tools, those errors can be fixed very easily, and it's better than just putting the objects there without attaching them, hope this helped :-)

Thought you might like to know, we now have the forklift ingame as scenery (Model from H3), and a vehicle version is being worked on.
Once boneyard is ingame, this will be a great addition to our tagset.
