The vehicles are destructible and based on post h1 designs. They look great, and the ghost has a nice boost function without any wonky physics or abnormal sound effects (hit the ctrl key). There is also a dual-wielded pair of smgs that I'm interested in. I'm not sure if they're based on reach, but they seem pretty far along the storyline.

Neat map just sayin.
Some stuff could be ripped maybe, but would need changes to fit our reach project.
I am looking into some stuff at the moment, mainly involving new weapons that have not been ingamed before. I'll post details on models/ingaming on http://www.xfire.com/communities/hmtreach/ so all team members can view.

Soon as we have stuff setup I will post pics.

You have the wrong string under the weapon tag. Need to fix it. Also this is presumptively what I unwrapped that model for?

have to admit, when i saw the the first thread you made on this project i thought it was just another this won't be worked on thread. there have been threads in the past that have presented ideas and i react to them and start modeling based on what the op has described, then i send them what i have. i then ask what they can do to help and it all stops there and i hear nothing from the op again and the thread dies.

lets just say i'm keeping an eye on how far things go now.

Thanks, Skidrow, they were at the bottom of the .weapon_hud_interface tags under "Messaging." I should have tose icon bitmaps fixed in no time. And ally, we'd love to have you aboard. Right now, I'm creating the Falcon vehicle. Yep, that's right, all by myself. I figure it'll be a great contribution to the Halo Maps community as well as an enormous boost to the authenticity of our maps. I took the 3DS Max model, learned the basics of 3DS Max 7, learned how to make flying halo vehicles, and I'm creating the .model_collision_geometry right now. 3DS Max is different from Inventor, but I think I'm getting the hang of it.

It's been decided that FRMT and HMT have become a fused team. FRMT will share tagset, including bipeds, weapons, and vehicles.

Xfire now! Lol you havent been on in 12 days. Out of the loop? Indeed.

While you were gone, I agreed to assit HaloExtreme117 in the HMT: Reach mod.

Some FRMT stuff.
FRMT consisted mostly of myself and Cheddars. (Who has left CE... who might come back, hopefully.)
We were a team who solely focused on bring Halo Reach to Halo Custom Edition.
We... came to a halt on things. We just had an unfinished tagset, with me continually trying to polish the animations of the weapons. With that jetpack armor ability I was trying to do.

I talked with Cheddars over Xfire, and he as a leader agreed to help HaloExtreme117 in his goal of his Reach mod.
So I basically sent over all the FRMT tags that I had to HaloExtreme117.

And... that's basically what happened.

Well that Falcon looks amazing. You're definitely going to boost our team. HMT has the exact same goal of bringing Reach to HCE. You said you were an animator, you don't know how good that is to hear. I can do a lot of single-player things on HCE, anything, you name it. But animation is so different from my experiences that I never even touch that stuff, just don't have the ability for it. Yeah, this is gonna be awesome.

Hey, can you send me a copy of that tagset, I'm working on the single-player side of the powerhouse level we're working on, and I wanted to put the falcon in.

Also go ahead and put me on the list for whatever it is I will be doing. I will not however, be able to use Xfire. I can use Steam and sometimes Skype but not with Voice.

Are we just re-creating Halo: Reach? Or just using assets designed off of it and maps created in the same style? I am guessing the latter.

I also think the fire could be tweaked. Looks like a lot of recoil from just one shot of an assault rifle.

Reload and grenade aren't spectacular though. The reload is pretty much... lifeless... It might just be due to xfire's recording ability though.

Skidrow is working on animations. The powerhouse BSP will also most likely receive some changes soon. I am working on tweaking tags to make everything play smoothly. As soon as we have something, I'll get a video/pic up.
