Hello, Halomaps! I'm here to announce that the 2.0 of the Elite Project ( Which is worked on by GRUNTS and I ) is officially started. This time a lot of our old "Cut Content" is to be featured in this new project such as the addition of new MP maps with new features. Scroll down further to see what we have to offer when it comes to information.

Anyways, to get back to the actual point of this thread, I shall be postin' dem pix for all to see.

Before you look at the pics, read this:

- Elite model by GRUNTS7
- Elite Sculpting by Me

[Hi Res link: http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/6256/eliteredesignedface.png ]

MP Map Information -
Lockout - A fully custom BSP of lockout with new weapons will be featured. This is the only OFFICIAL map that we are announcing currently.

Updates to come soon.

I dont see a whole lot of sculpting on the high poly model thats actually worth calling a sculpt. You should be adding fine detail such as small bumps and detail of the skin.

Another thing, at least from the bottom pictures, some of the proportions are really awkward, like the hands, arms, and legs.

It's the start of a sculpt ( I have yet to even add wrinkles or any form of detail besides the base of the facial structure ) , proportions are looking bad due to the angle of the refs, its all proportional to h3.

Looks like those guys would do well with an original old-skool xbox controller.

So if you know these things, why post it? Fix your things before hand you'd be able to give off a good first impression.

It already is a good impression. We have a giant chunk of the model made, and almost ready for ingame. We didnt say it's perfect, and it doesnt have to be perfect before we post it. Thanks for the crit.

I like the picture 2nd from the top but you smooth it out looks alittle blocky. Over all looks really good.

The bottom half of the legs seems a bit too small to support the rest of the upper body. :/

I still think the proportions look a bit off, just compare it to this Halo Reach elite:

The hands really aren't that big on the actual Reach elite, nor is the upper body THAT large in comparison to the legs.

Yeah I think the feet and legs could be a bit larger...

I agree about some things being out of proportion, but it could just be the angle we're looking at. Otherwise, good work so far!

The only flaws I see have already been mentioned (the body to leg mass ratio being too high, the hands being too large). Good work so far, I'd love to see a biped made out of this sometime!

Feet/shins are still to small, rest is becoming better.

This. The biggest disproportion I see is with the feet, which were the reason why I ultimately gave up when trying to model this before (I also had bad references for a neutral pose).

There were no changes.

Updates!
The model is now virtually complete! Besides animations and proportions (Obviously) , that is.

[**NOTE**] DO NOT MENTION THE PROPORTIONS YET, WE WILL GET TO THOSE.

Then the addition of armor made it seem as if they were. The most recent pictures goes back to the same problem. The proportions are still off.

If you're not going for an exact remake of the Reach elite major, I think you should add mandible guards.

Me either, some sick animations, awesome shaders, great model. though i will say, i think it'd be better to delete the faces you can't see, because they'll just take up space and do nothing.

Just a small preview of the elite before our update, we will announce a few new things in the update with renders of all our new armor permutations plus ingame pics. We would appreciate it if the thread were bumped occasionally just to keep it alive.

Pretty nice job as always. The one things i don't realy like are the fingers. They are little pointed.
