Hi, I'm JimDaRulah. I'm 17 and I've played Halo Custom Edition for about 4 years now but I never really thought about joining the community until recently. My favorite Maps are Coldsnap, Hugeass, and Extinction (The holy trinity of custom edition if you ask me) but I've browsed the site and played some really cool maps that aren't as well known too. What really draws me to Custom Edition are the AI and vehicles, I really love what people can do when they have the freedom to create new vehicles and utilize AI in multiplayer maps. It really enhances the multiplayer experience. Anyway, I'm getting off track, just wanted to introduce myself to the community because I'll probably start posting around here.

Good to have you. Don't mean to sound like it's a necessity here (because it's not), just wandering, but do you mod maps, or just like to critique people and see what new content is coming, or both?

Just wondering if we have a new guy interested in getting into the map creation/modding side. It's always great to have some fresh meat to learn the ropes.

I'm not really a mapmaker, I just like to sit back and enjoy what comes along. So I guess critique.

Welcome to the forums. You will find many exciting projects here and you might even be inspired to eventually make your own.

i agree with TCK ,and welcome to the community and as spartan314 said you will find many things that are interesting and if you choose to mod get a modder friend to explain things you might want to learn if you mod

5. Don't fight Dennis. He's never wrong about anything... EVER.

Since other folks are deciding to join the forums now, I might as well jump on the bandwagon.
I started playing about five years ago, and played all the time until I discovered Garry's Mod.
I recently found out that a bunch of folks at my school have been playing Halo on the school computers, and the nostalgic memories pushed me to install HCE on my laptop.

I'm really glad that the community here is so lively. I half-expected the site to be depressing and empty, kinda like the way ForgeHub has gotten.

Also you would do yourself good to stay away from FMT MASTERCHIEF, he is the biggest troll we have had in a while, has been banned atleast 5 times and counting, and is just a general pain in the arse xP

He wishes he were a troll; it takes skill to be one.

I will indeed respect him if he proves he is a helpful member of the community.

I will also respect him if he starts being polite and apologises to Dennis for avoiding bans.
