Erm, I don't think you read the name of the bitmap, it's a helmet.

dunno for sure but i think it looks like the maps for an elite. it's the eye shapes in the images that make me think that.

if you open the image to full size, the name of the file is CQB helmet. its from halo reach.

It can be the reflection map for cubemaps (like specular except for cubemaps), but I can be wrong. I say this because the visor portion looks awfully white and the rest look dark as black meaning that the visor would have a lot of the cubemap showing up whereas the metal would have significantly less of an appearance.

yes that is the specular map if its a diffuse. you can prove this by opening one of the textures include in the reach spartans and the specular in the jpgs folder is exactly the same. Halo 3 uses the method too. put it into the blue channel of your multi or in this case, the specular shade extension.
for a bump like you said, its what qwerty said i think or maybe ambient occulision? i have no idea about the bump thing though. Edited by Cheddars on Feb 24, 2012 at 10:52 PM

Yep, I'm positive that this is a reflection map since Skyrim has the same thing.

If it is not used to control transparency, then it is probably a Parallax Occlusion map. Cryengine 2 and 3 are set up the same way And the Reach engine is not the same Blam! from the first 3 games, so don't rule anything out. Edited by OrangeJuice on Feb 25, 2012 at 10:39 PM
