Like Maniac said use notepad to write the script, then save it as a .hsc in your levels\mapname\scripts folder. When you are done with sapien use file\compile scripts and then save and build cache.

Download "Easy Halo Scripter V2" by HaloGuru. That app a library of scripts (not much but sufficient).

TCK had a whole bunch of new scripts organized, from A-Z. It's in the depths of the internet now though.

If someone could remaster the library of scripts and add new ones.. Nice idea, maybe I can do a topic to launch Easy Halo Scripter V3 :)

Scripts are almost everything to do with Single player maps, they do everything. Music, checkpoints, cutscenes, and much much more. An example would be: (script startup checkpoint (game_save_totally_unsafe)) This creates a checkpoint as soon as the game starts, no matter how many enemies are around. There's a whole lot more to it though, so you must be way more specific as to what you want to accomplish. But yes, in it's most basic form it's blamscript code you type onto a program like notepad and compile in Sapien to make the game do something you want it to. It doesn't matter, what matters is that it's in a folder inside your data folder.

tags/levels/MOD1
would have a script located at
data/levels/MOD1/scripts
Or at least that's what I noticed after fiddling around with Sapien. Correct.
