Actually, you can unbind melee and rebind it to anything else via a script.

But whats the fun in that? It's still gonna be two different keys to melee and assassinate, since the assassination is basically the same as entering a vehicle.

I actually prefer it to being E to assassinate. It's terrible in Reach and H4 where half the time you do a normal melee or a long assassination.

The amount of times that i've been killed because i accidentally assassinate rather than beatdown is... high. To say the least.

I installed os 3.1 but now when I try to load halo it says im missing file bigassv1.71.yelo

Please post any complaints in the issues list of the google code page. You will not receive help over AOM/Xfire/Forums/Skype/Twitter. Information regarding problems needs to be consolidated in a single spot if it is going to be fixed.

This goes for everyone, not just Spark.

for those who install os 3.1 I recommend you backup your maps folder first unless you wanna have to reinstall halo like how I did. when I installed it it deleted maps that were not replaceable.

I only know enough technical information to know what can and cannot be done with the engine, and I adjust my designs accordingly
