or it could just be animated wrong. Go figure.

Also, a bit off topic but anything about the AR with sights?

It's funny that you mention the AR, because I'm just finishing up a new model right now. I should have some screenshots within the hour.

And about the Box. I have no idea what is causing it to no close the whole way in halo because it works just fine in max.

Something seems weird about how it attaches to the gun, but I think it's kinda cool.

The quality of the screenshot makes it hard to see but it's attached to a rail.

It's not an overlay, I'm pretty sure I saved it as a .jma

Well enough said there, thats why all device machines open\close in any form should be an overlay animation my good sir.

I think that looks pretty cool, though, like a screen that's also a sight.
If you don't want it on when you're not aiming, you could animate the numbers/compass/stuff in coordination with the aiming overlay.

I'm beginning to see how the AR structure relates to that of the SMG more clearly. Looks neat.

Is there going to be a pack-a-punch machine but more advanced than the Dead Halls one?

I didn't think of that! If you're putting the BR in, start with a normal one, then when it's been pack-a-punched once, add that CMT nade launcher to it.

And make the Pack-a-Punch'd one automatic.

Actually it's just a piece of scenery running a custom animation, but I'm guessing same principals apply. Thanks, I'll try that.

its a very neat looking idea, but with the holo sights i dont think youd need a set of iron? idk

Not necessarily http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/7b/Heckler_%26_Koch_MP5_PDW_Galaxy_with_%2B_Eotech_551.jpg
(Just posted URL because the picture is too big)

Even the M107 Barrett .50 cal has back-up iron-sights.

Yes, actually I thought I already said there would be in the op, maybe I didn't.

No. I have not decided if I am going to put the br in or not but even if I do I am not using anyone's tags. I will put it in large bold font so hopefully I will not have to repeat it again:

I do not use any ripped or downloaded tags, all tags in this map are either made by me or Bungie.

Well, not necessarily ripped. Just the same concept. Hell, you could add a custom nade launcher to that lovely AR if you wanted.

The funny thing is, that's exactly what I was hoping to do with the pack-a-punched version. The only problem I'm having is the same as the one I'm having with the 203 on the m16. I need to find a way to make the gl useable, but leave the ability to use sights and not able to be traded for a third gun. I have one more idea to try but I'm not sure if it will work.

That's one cooleo AR. Do you plan on releasing it after the map is done?

Yes, actually I plan to release all of the tags when I'm done. Or if I give up on it.(Which is not likely) However for obvious reasons I will not release any tags with bugs in them until I get the problems sorted out.(I'm looking at you wunderwaffe)

However, I may release some of the weapon tags before then, things like the ar and sawn-off shotgun that I'm not making just for this map.

Something like this for packapunched AR?

MA5D concept. Does more damage than normal AR, built in Noob Tube (where the f.light is)
Built in holo and rail for random stuff

I don't mean to be a burden, and I'm loving the map so far, but are you doing different variations of zombies, e.g. Pillar of autumn crewmen, lifepod pilot AND marines? Or are you just going to stick with the marines? I really wouldn't mind either way.

Armored Marines, Unarmored Marines, Paratroopers(maybe),Wehrmacht(maybe), and something else. And I'm considering the napalm and shrieker zombies from Shangri-La(Black Ops) but they might not work with this map.

That's what I have planned so far. And, if I can get the script working, I am going to set up an additional enemy type.

EDIT: It's no problem, I actually like it when people ask me questions about my maps. It helps me provide more information that I might have forgot to mention otherwise.

You know ReRout, with the AR's Bluedot thing, you could have the numbers be big when not using the sights and have them scale down during the the sights animation

Here's the mp-40 with fp animations. I thought they looked fine in max but now that I have them in-game I think I might have to redo them from scratch.

Stop being so stubborn and use the tags CMT gave us. We're called a community for a reason. However, i do not recommend you to use the COD weapons here. They're horrible!

I am not being stubborn I just have personal standards. Besides I love making maps, why would I want to have someone else do it for me, and I'm proud of the fact that I'm doing this all myself. And, what weapons from cod are you talking about? The only weapons I'm adding from CoD are the wonder weapons and that's because they are a key feature of it's zombies mode. All of the other weapons I am adding are being added because of back story reasons. Not because they were in CoD.

Will you be doing more traps? Sorry if it already came up, just wondering. 'Cos I liked the idea of a sentinel beam barrier in DeadHalls.

Also, here's those CaD videos for reference:

Not necessarily. What CaD does isn't extraordinary. Nearly all of his scripting concepts have been figured out, it's just that nobody has been bothered to actually replicate what CaD has done. The FP legs, for example.

..................... "nobodies replicates" followed by FP legs as an example?................. srs? As to not threadjack, I would like you to go to my xfire page, and view my 3 videos of different ways to do FP legs. Newest video, method 3, is using the same method as CAD in a more lazy way. My user is kirby422, watch now.

Anyways, the barrier, it looks like each board is its own device, with a switch setup.. Now, im far more lazy than that since that requires many objects. Make the whole block one device, and script it up so every time you hit the switch, it only moves the position a bit. Have a unit to track damage, if the unit has damage, automatically move the device position backwards, since its a unit it will even draw enemies to it to make them smash on the block. If the device position is 0, and the enemy is in that trigger volume, play an animation to bring em inside. It's really not that amazing.

No, but what he did at during his time was pretty crazy.

Nearly all of his scripting concepts have been figured out,
I don't think so... Not all of them...

it's just that nobody has been bothered to actually replicate what CaD has done. The FP legs, for example.
People have tried but through blood and grime couldn't get it to CAD's level of... perfection? Anyway, read Kirby's post.
