Im attempting to mod campaign maps, but unfortunately my tagset is very bad and not good and terrible and gives me exception a lot.

I am not sure what that is even saying exactly, but have you downloaded tags before that required you to overwrite whole entire folders or even just a few files in a folder?
If so, tag corruption is just something you are going to get if you don't watch your tags properly. Only way around it is to make sure that you know what is being overwritten, what the overwritten files references, what the referenced stuff references, so on and so forth. Basically, if something needs something and it is not there, this crappy game engine's head explodes. Downloading tags is a very risky thing and if the wrong folders are overwritten it is possible to get corrupted tagsets.

he was referring to campaign tags, my original tags seem to make the map not able to compile
i think, right?

That tagset is corrupt and nobody uses them. Just rip the tags from original halo campaign with HEK+.

Don't you have Halo PC? Not Halo CE. The original Halo PC campaign tags.

Use these campaign maps by Renamon. They're pretty much the same with the original Halo maps.

That is a really easy error to fix, I used to get it a lot until I figured it out.

It has to do with the model exporter.

1. You need to make all of your textures into multi-materials, even if there is only one texture in the multi-material.

The exporter does not like single materials. (I don't know why, but trust me)

2. You need to make sure that everything has material IDs

It has been a while since I had to do this, but that should fix it.

(or you could just use chimp instead of BlueStreak, chimp doesn't mind single materials)
