So. Basicaly i'm making some maps. One needs to be at night. And another needs to look like it's a cloudy day. I have tried tweaking the numbers that i enter when making my lightmaps to no avail. Can someone tell me what amount to enter for a night lightmap and one for a cloudy day

Oh you enter the same values because that's lightmaps.

I'v tried that. I added the .sky from the ui.map and entered the values of 0 0.9 and nothing happened. So i thought it was a lightmap thing

The colours of the light are determined by the sky tag, not the lightmapping threshold.

Make sure you have a sky material in 3ds max and it is assigned to at least one face in your map.

I'm using Gmax. And i made a "+sky" material and added it to where the sky should show through the map. I export it. Add the sky i ripped from the ui.map. And open tool. I type in >"tool lightmaps levels\folder-name\scenario-name structure-bsp-name 1 0.05"< and the lightmaps are as if it were daytime like normal were ,i do the exact same thing, but i make the values 0 0.9 rather than the other

Is that enough information or do you need more?. And if you do please ask questions and i'll answer ,rather then me trying to guess what you want to know.

He is correct.
Open the sky tag, go to the lights/radiosity section.
Change the "power" to something smaller, save, run lightmaps.
Also the indoor and outdoor ambiant power and fog can affect this.

Yep, yep. Do that and also don't forget that if you're adding weather to a bsp, you need to add it to ALL clusters (I had trouble figuring that out when I first tried to do that).
