now how do i set up a cutscene? flying camera thing?
then play music at the same time?... stuff like that?

Making a campaign is mostly scripting I believe, as well as good object/AI placement too. The scripting plays a major role in creating a campaign which is why there aren't a lot of custom campaigns. But good luck and hope you get better :)

so... i was trying to make a dropship drop some ai and i just realized.. how do i do that?

Put the dropship in the map, check the box that says "not created automatically", then name in "dropship".

1. Make a command list with points creating a path you want it to follow at the beginning. Name it "ship_dropoff".

2. Make a second command list with points that create a path anywhere that takes it out of the player's view. Name it "ship_leave".

3. Put a biped (any), check the "not created automatically" box, name it "ship_pilot".

4. Put a cutscene flag at the beginning of the path you created with the first command list. Name it "start_point".

5. Make an AI encounter and squad (remember to set the team, depending on if you want them to be friends or foes) and name them both "pilot".

(vehicle_hover dropship false)
(sleep_until (= (ai_command_list_status ship_pilot) 1))
(unit_kill_silent ship_pilot)
(object_destroy dropship)

For the script to work, you need to replace any place it says with the name of the ai encounter you want dropped off, and any place is says with the driver seat label on the dropship you're using. To find the driver seat label, go into guerrilla, open the ship you want to use, and scroll down to seats.The dropdown box will usually tell you what type of seat it is, select driver (or pilot if it's there), and the label you need for the script is in the box I highlighted below:

After you've done all this, put (wake dropoff) in another script below it at the point you want this to happen.

Looks like it'd work, though I don't think you can have the dropships going straight "up" and "down" with this method.
No, but there's no reason to start out a beginner with more complex things like that.

I would use jmw. animations for dropships. Everything else sucks frankly. Now just to be clear, a campaign would mean a series of maps. If you want just a single single player map (alliteration much), it would require, yes, massive amounts of scripting and some clever ai work.
