(voice acting could have been a little bit more epic, but it was fine  ) Also the fact that it is the first big sp level completely custom made from scratch that is of very good quality. That makes it unique and special.

If we want something to not feel like DLC then I guess I am looking for game programmers, modelers, texturers, etc, etc... We'll call ourselves "Sumthin Not Done Studios".

Yeah, that's one of the things I don't like about the Trilogy. You don't get to see any other spartans. No epic spartan squads. You get a lonely and slightly dulling feeling that you don't have any sort equal person. Awesome vid by the way Edited by Xoronatus on Mar 10, 2011 at 08:10 PM

I wholly agree. I would like a Star Wars: Republic Commando feel in Halo, where, say, you play as John - 117 still, but get to order a squad around with commands such as "form up", "search and destroy" and "defend this point". Actually commanding them to heal and go to certain weapon positions like in RC would be good too. Some completely obedient, non glitchy, non annoying AI, that don't take an hour to do what you want or refuse to follow you.

So, some people have said HRCEMT and FRMT were unoriginal, focused purley on ripping. I proved them wrong by stating our intentions, then said I would release some of my ideas of custom content. This is me, delivering the goods. Police: Marine with salvaged sanheli armour and Kig-Yar shield gauntlets: UNSC Interceptor (based on Banshee design): 'Beam hog' - Custom warthog, with salvaged sentinel beam technology as a turret. The turret is mechanical, controlled from the passenger seat. The turret is protected by kig-yar shields: UNSC Double - barrelled shotgun: Mark VI SPARTAN infiltration helmet: Hunter - class ghost: UNSC Cheetah (based on ghost design): Lancer rifle: Custom assault rifle, with scope and strap: AA turret concept - a scorpion turret in a trench, accessable through and underground tunnel, and controlled by an underground panel. Controller can only be killed directly: Mass troop assault vehicle. 4 snipers, 2 heavy weapon marines, one chaingun, one driver: UNSC Electron cannon - A triple - barrel cannon using salvaged covenant tech. @Sergeant 1337 they're not meant to be detailed, they're meant to be outlining basic ideas. This IS the thread for them, as they were made because of this thread - to prove I had ideas for custom content, not just ripping. FAIL.

It's not a handle, it's a rotatable stand. The electron cannon is an automated defense turret. In addition, I will not rage on ALL opinions offered. I will rage on mislead opinions or facts stated wrongly.

Will do. The Interceptor is the one thing I really want to get in-game, and I designed it so it could go in-game relatively easily. I named it an Interceptor after TIE Interceptors in Star Wars, which have pointy wings but otherwise bear no resemblance. It IS kinda like what I imagined a Hawk to be, now you mention it.

Even if it doesn't look top notch, if it's custom then I'm glad it's made. I too am angered by these hordes of Halo 3 battlerifles everywhere... which seems to be all people can do nowadays. I don't care if your map happens on reach if it has a new campaign, custom content and a new plotline that doesn't look like Bungie stuff too much while staying in the Halo universe. I also don't care if it's not Lumoria quality ( since it seems the reference now). It can be fun without beeing so neon. I liked the Covert Ops SP that came out recently, was fun and all even if simple and with many harsh corners. I never stopped myself from releasing un perfect work that I knew I personally wouldn't work further until years and don't intend to change that. I'm not saying that's the good way, lots of people disliked the RPG_Beta maps and most critics were well due but in the end, people still liked these maps much more than if I had never released them waiting for perfection.

So my suggestion: Be ALOT nicer to new incoming mapmakers. I'm still learning myself, and if i walked into this community with a bunch of jerks, i wouldnt feel comfortable eather.

Honestly, about this ripping, I have nothing against it. I don't feel anything wrong with it as I rip myself as well (But I never release my maps lol) It's just the usage of other people's tags, same can be compared to as you are reading some author's book. I'm just tired of seeing these threads but I also see your point as us rippers can't do anything. It's a bit too late for me to learn animating or modelling or whatever so the best I could do is to give good crit...but seriously, why hate rippers? they're probably people who don't know how to model, etc that's it.

So this is the reason why I still visit this forum on occasion... The only thing that can sum up this thread is: lol - 8 year olds Everyone arround here needs to grow up, stop insulting each other, and actually produce inspirational content for this game. Back when I started playing halo, mid 06, I saw amazing things, things that inspired me to learn how to mod. first maps i downloaded was coldsnap and hugeass. i clearly remember while i was downloading the hek i drew a map that was huge, used longswords, jets, pelicans, etc, wanting to make my own map.
