Hi guys, ive been downloading halo CE maps in these days (all kind of maps xD), and i have to say that i found out a few masterpiece but also a lot of silly maps.

There are over 2000 maps so the request is: what maps do you suggest me? (like a top 20 or a top 30, or a website for the best maps).

im looking as well for some halo CE maps with AI, im lokking for something with a bunch of AI to slay, tomorrow im gonna have a lan with a few friends and we would like to do something like that xD, i alredy have the famous bloodgulch with AI but in that map there are AI in both sides, i would like something like WE vs AI to make it harder.

Try Derik's areas maps. Those are classics. Unlike the others, this one actually has a storyline, AIs that work, the awesome rail gun(a.k.a the Spartan laser and DM rifle combined), a high scare factor for some, a dash of comedy and most of all, fun. Start with area 53 and 54 with a custom game variant that has limited lives. Don't play the revamps cause the original is better honestly.

Before any of you start nagging on about how AIs don't sync, who cares. It's actually fun to get beaten up by invisible people.

ok thanks,

what i would like to do is use the campaign maps to create new multyplayer levels, for example i have always wanted to play the assault campaign map with friends xD i really dont know how to do it but im going to download the HEK and to figure out how to make it, i guess something like loading the landscape and add AI.
before i start i would like to know: is it possible? i mean, the assault map (the whole assault map) can be used as a multyplayer map? is it too big?
by any chance something like this does alredy exist?

Can you add a "Most Downloaded" for SP and MP maps?

There's already such a thing on the main page of HaloMaps. Just scroll down to the bottom and you'll see Popular by Month and Most Popular All Time (which is separated by Most Downloads and Highest Rated).

Those showcase downloads not maps, specifically.

You can get the most downloaded for each section by sorting the list. Just click the "views" column heading.
