they really should get ascm or cmt to put halo 2 and 3's campaign mission's on custom edition

Been suggested, tried and failed many times. The answer is no, it won't happen. Please let this thread die.

those games have been out for years. everybody in this community is hell bent on recreating stuff from those games. you'd think if it were to get done, it would have been done by now

Okay guys, enough flaming. And if someone wants to make stuff from the newer games, one absolutely can. If you hate it, go make some custom stuff instead of typing up hate posts.

huh? Halo 2 is available for PC y would u want to recreate it on ce?
The amount of hours it would take to recreate the whole Halo 3 campaign inc weaps, vehicles etc, u could get a job at mc donalds, save the money and buy an xbox 360 in half the time and the 360 version would of course b far superior

I don't know about recreate but I have a few SP maps and all the bipeds and some of the vehicles done.

If you want to play on H2 tags I've done that but recreating H2 or H3 on ce wouldn't be the same as most people have stated but I admit it is nice to change things yourself :P

I refuse to buy any console, 33% is for kids, 33% has no games that appeal to me, and the remainder is a waste of money because you have to pay to use online services. Not to say I beg for this to happen, just pointing out that consoles aren't all that great.

Not to mention some games simply aren't meant to be played on consoles.

Consoles are pretty cheap for what your getting. It's not like a PC, where you have to buy all your parts for your computer, a decent monitor, speakers, etc. Parts for a decent PC to play any newer game and have it decent looking adds up, while on a console you can buy the console and your good to go (well, as long as you have a tv). And hell, you'll still be paying for almost the same price for games too. That is pretty much why consoles are so popular and PC's aren't nowadays. All that dosen't change the PC online communications, modding, and etc though. That stuff is irreplaceable and is definitely superior to consoles.

I don't see why FPS's shouldn't be on consoles. One of the first games (if not THE first) that I played on the original Xbox was Halo, which was a pretty good FPS if you ask me.

I can never get used to aiming with joysticks. There's always limitations in control you get in console FPS's, such as being unable to do 2 actions together due to the placement of their respective keys, and a mouse can always aim faster and more naturally.

Aiming is easy on a console once you get used to it.
If a game requires you to do 2 different actions at once, the the control scheme should take care of it.

It never requires you to do that, but you can't argue that it's fairly annoying to be unable to adjust aim while meleeing, or changing equipment in Halo 3. I know you can change the setup, but each setup has its drawbacks in convenience for certain situations.
In PC, you can do pretty much everything with your left hand, and your right hand aims.

Give it up, FPS's are just as good if not better on consoles, your entitled to your opinion, and i'm entitled to mine.

i love playing with a controller for consoles but i think we call all agree: mouse = more headshots. just sayin
