Pretty cool - this would be great for SP maps, perhaps in a cutscene you take major damage to your visor, then you script to enable an HUD element and that thing stays there for the rest of the level.

This would be interesting to implement into a multiplayer map and see what the reactions of the players would be >XP

So this HUD comes with a script that makes the cracks appear? or are they currently a permenant part of the HUD?

By the looks of the second pic, those bitmaps would only come into play after the unit (aka, the player) has taken enough damage. I doubt it would stay when the unit dies - but I think it would stay if the unit regains health. It would be more realistic that way.

Sadly, with Halo's terribly outdated engine, we can't force the bitmaps to stay after the unit has lost a certain amount of health - and the unit regains said health. Ah well, that's what scripting is for!

Then just have a new health pack model which has a replacement visor stacked alongside the pack. Problem solved.

Add a roll of duct tape to the original health kit. Your armor will never break again!

The crack in the viso should be like the Halo Reach one when you play... I think its Lone Wolves? In the campaign on the very last level. The VERY last level. You stay behind on Reach and fight off an infinite amount of Elites and Grunts until you die and when you get hurt a lot your visor cracks. Dunno why theres no Jackals or Brutes or Hunters... Iunno... cleanup squad I guess. xD ANYWHO!!! I think it should look like THAT. o w o

If you aren't going to use the "marines recording" vision, you can just replace the video effect with this, and use the cinematic script.
